Absolutely delighted for wee man as well. He's been great in the RWB role and when playing further forward.

A similarly controlled performance on Saturday and I will feel a lot better about the Portsmouth game.

    In order of preference:

    Bromley/Wycombe
    Port Vale
    Bradford
    Cambridge
    Wrexham
    Everton
    Doncaster

All away of course. No doubt it'll be Palace at home though.

Nah it’ll be Brentford. They always pump us in a depressing way.

Would take Sheffield Wednesday, as it means they’ll have beaten Leeds…

Agreed. His best performance for me.

    Others worth a mention:

    Archer
    Alex
    Fraser
    Matsuki (goal of season contender)
    Charles
New RB whose name escapes me.

    Positive points for me:
    • Archer’s pace & energy so much more noticeable for our press. He looked hungry to win his place and our best player for me. Great interlinking play when dropping deeper too
    • Stewarts physicality actually gave CBs something to think about creating space for through balls over the top and over lapping runs in final 3rd more
    • Wellington getting injured is a blessing in disguise as Manning really needs to start 100% (I know we all knew it anyway). The vision for 2nd goal is quality (even with Norwich defensive mistake) & Taylor looks decent when he game on too
    • Charles looked way more solid again & it makes the world of difference to our shape when he’s on his a game
    • Quarshie good for most part too, definitely growing into the level & learning every game. Positioning a lot better on the whole & offers a lot getting ball up the pitch out of defence with his pace. Edwards pretty similar too but naturally he seems bit more composed at this level.
    • Matsuki could be exciting if he can do more of that!!! WHAT A GOAL
    • Downs fed BBD beautifully, unselfish and feel he just needs a bit of luck and it could unfold more for him once pressure off a bit

    Negatives:
    • Downes looks pretty off the boil atm, but still even he made some decent turns and looked to play forward rather than backwards more instinctively than he has done for us
    • we’re still making some silly defensive errors which we really need to iron out
    • BBD is absolutely one of the worst signings in recent years. Gotta go!

Bit of luck in parts of the game but much better performance, UTS!! Need a big win this weekend now

Dunno if I can be arsed with a schlep there midweek though when I can go February.

Wouldn't surprise me if we drew Everton with Dibling going there.

Agree with pretty much all of this, would add Roerslev's debut to the positives though

BBD looks like someone who would take any ricochet off any body part, if it meant a goal. His confidence must be a minus number by now. Just looked like he was scared to try anything, just get rid of the ball asap.

I realised after I posted that I hadn’t given him a mention too!! Credit where it’s due, he looks like a shrewd signing. Hopefully we can build on this!
