That's speculation and it's just something all clubs do. I can see both sides to it all, but ultimately Isak is the ****house.

It's who we get that's important... If we sell Isak and get Wissa and larsen and nowt else I'd be disappointed, but if they get 3 or 4 really good players I'd be delighted.

Isak has simply no affection or connection with the club in his heart, he's a cold fish, we just didn't realise it and went as far as licking his phony arse.

Plus you sound out NUFC about a bid of £120M for Isak and then subsequently bid £110M knowing the valuation is £150M.

That’s deliberate to unsettle a player and then you get the Agent and player to push for a move with a view to getting the valuation of £150M down.

That’s what the Victims have done and they have previous history for doing the same. That’s what is reprehensible on the part of the Victims.

If Newcastle yield now they've been mugged worse than was necessary. I'm torn between the appropriate action, but saving face will achieve **** all anyway.

If there was a wrong way to play it, PIF achieved it. Completely ****ed the whole thing up, from sourcing a replacement to managing the situation to eventually just accepting the inevitable.

We'll end up with Nephew Howe's plodders in exchange. It'll mean a solid enough season, but I think a repeat of two years ago is very, very likely. Can see us ending up with Wissa (overpriced), JSL (overpriced massively) and Conor Gallagher. The sooner we get competence into the board room - and decisiveness - the better.

Agree we'll have the same scenario as two years ago. I mean we're already picking up injuries and the champions league draw hasn't even taken place yet.

Howes style of play is entertaining and successful in periods we have enough fit players, but I think it's why we see good runs and then a big drop off while the soldiers are treated.

It doesn't appear that his style of play is conducive with playing three games a week... It's why other clubs don't play this way at the end of the day.

In modern parlance that's simply victim blaming. You dont have a go at Isak who is the main culprit. You don't have a go at the Victims who have deliberately tried to disrupt and unsettle a player beyond what is ordinarily deemed to be acceptable.

No, you go on your little agenda led rant and complain about Newcastle. We probably have not dealt with this perfectly but your failure to reference the others highlights the failure of your argument.

Okey doke - let’s add the words “on newcastles part” at the start. Isak has of course behaved dreadfully as well, presumably so has his agent, and Liverpool have deliberately set about unsettling everything to suit their agenda. Not once did I put all the blame on Newcastle, all I’ve said is our part in it has been handled poorly.

This is true. They have done nothing different to we have with Wissa.

It’s just our lot decide that it is different. When it isn’t. We are just picking at the pecking order.

The difference is we have owners who have more money than sense. YAR telling the club not to sell is a good and a bad thing. Saving face. But it’s not good for FFP.

I guess we will never know if Liverpool would have offered the amount we wanted. Has a player ever at this level and stature ended up playing in the reserves for 3 years?

Unachievable add ons. They should just stump up the £150m and get him and get it done.

Do we genuinely think Liverpool have been unacceptable though? The modern transfer way seems to be like this. Players have the power even with huge contracts.

They can just down tools. To a degree I think us setting the precedent is a good thing and I didn’t weeks ago. My mind has changed given Isaks stance.

Liverpool may have played this professionally we don’t really know otherwise.

Just as a starters, why enquire if we would sell at £120M to be told the price is £150M to then put in a bid of £110M? It makes no sense other than its designed to disrupt the player and to get the player to agitate for a move. Why didn't they bid £120M as per original enquiry?
    That is not normal practice.

We don’t know this is true for a start. We don’t even know anything other than officially they bid 110m and that’s it.

We don’t know how we reacted to it because I don’t believe it was in the public domain.

Everything else around it is hearsay I am afraid. And if it isn’t then I want proof.
