I’d be fascinated to understand what goes into these bids and why they seem to take days to out together. I can understand new bids can’t just be quickly changed like in computer games. But days to restructure deals would make FM a more difficult game if it was applied…
And if the club were just told a flat "no" or if Boro said they wanted cetain clauses or were unhappy about the structure of the payments rather than just the fee. Also depends on what boro want - if they say they'd accept no less than £15m Saints may weigh up who else we could get on our list for that sort of fee and then wait to hear back from their agent. Probably tons of factors at play rather than just the fee needing to be increased.
I expect so. Just is intriguing that small changes necessitate that. But it’s all going to be in legal contracts I assume
The ‘small’ change could be we’ll pay you the same amount but rather than over 4 years, we’ll do 50% up front. So many nuances that may take days to iron out.
