Acun knew what was coming, and he wanted to manage the agenda and push his own narrative using his 'disciples' or fan boys / girls. I am looking forward to what Bazza comes out with.
Didn't they only get paid on the 4th of July, after the embargo was in place? Seems it literally took multiple days, after the embargo was put in place to pay it. Amateurish. Might be reading it wrong though...
We paid the loan fee on 2 July and the March, April and May wages on 4 July. Villa’s CFO emailed at the end of June to ask City to pay the outstanding debts ASAP.
I havent really commented on the debacle and in the vote opted 'all will be ok'.... I havent read the documents I dont need to after some people have read and detailed the context. If there is any good at all to come out of this **** show is that we are now hopefully paying wages within our means, not paying massive loan fees etc. Hopefully, some of the playing staff will increase in value over this season leaving us in a better position this time next year. Acuns credibility out of the window absolutely... “There are three kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics”
What’s even worse is that when we were negotiating with Villa to sign Barry permanently, we wanted to delay the payments for the loan fee and wages even further until 14 July. That’s royally taking the piss and that’s when Villa had enough and dobbed us in. I wouldn’t be surprised if that Peep Show moment during the Q&A when Acun and Dublin had to urgently take a phone call was related to this.
Yeah, I was wondering if that got a mention in the notes. Nothing about a business plan or wage cap. It’s not published on the EFL’s website as part of our sanctions. Only mention of it comes from Cooper so if it does exist, it’s an ad-hoc punishment.
It's not a punishment. The fee restriction is. It's a preventative measure intended to ensure no further punishment will be required
I checked Twitter and nothing from Bazza Cooper or Humberside Sport, have they all fallen asleep, don't work Mondays or are they awaiting 'instructions'
Well Acun has got some egg on his face. Big lesson for him you can’t **** about over here like he’s used to doing in other parts of the world, we do business properly. Hopefully he learns from it, there’s no way he’s getting away with this level of shenanigans again. It could be difficult in doing further business with other clubs until it’s clear we can be trusted. Not the end of the world right now.
from that acun open letter before the first home game i think it was and what doesnt break us makes us stronger i think more arrogance
