That's not controversial. We have a become a selfish society that only thinks about the 'rights' of the individual and not what would benefit society as whole. Both left and right standpoints reflect that attitude. Until the zeitgeist changes, politics won't change.

You want to re check your posts and see where the name calling and accusations started, not from Sunderland, from east Durham so it’s something i don’t have a major issue with,but it’s a place I’ve visited for the past over 50 years for match days and nights out so I couldn’t be more happy with the regeneration of the area and hope the investment flies in after a lifetime of Government neglect Happy now

I would certainly hope it’s not put at risk next year by the people voting for a party who’s focus on addressing issues in Kent and getting rid of the nhs. ‘Under Mr Farage's plan, migrants would supposedly be sent back to countries like Afghanistan or Iran. Questions have been raised over exactly how this will work - will Iran, a country facing sanctions from the UK, agree to accept planes of migrants? Or will the Taliban be happy to shake hands with Mr Farage on a deal in Afghanistan? Is he lying for votes again? Will people fall for his lies again?
It’s easy to say the words he would send them back to the country of origin. It’s probably not possible unless he pays Iran and Afghanistan. Unlikely to happen and wouldn’t be popular. He was asked a few questions but failed to answer them because it hasn’t got an answer. It’s fiction at this point. Reality is different but he doesn’t engage with report questions. I'm no fan of Farage, but I can tell you now the headline alone will be a vote winner regardless of whether the plan is feasible or not. If Labour want to retain power they need to seriously up their game.
I mean this is genuinely obvious and frustrating to me that it gets overlooked (on both sides of the spectrum). Populism is magic bullet theory. Truth is there are no easy answers - but that doesn’t get you elected.
