It’s good that Israel is a society where you can criticise the government without being rounded up and shot while Stroud4Palestine do a charity walk and cake sale for you. It’s a trade-off. Israel probably could have caved entirely on October 8th and taken October 7th on the chin by merely returning thousands of murderers from prison but history would suggest turning the other cheek does more harm than good in the long term. Obviously if your loved one is being held by a death cult you aren’t thinking long term.
I think there's been around 4-5 separate occasions now where Hamas have offered to release ALL of the hostages and Israel have decided to continue with the killing instead. This is why nearly 500,000 people took to the streets in Tel Aviv last week to protest against their terrorist Govt. Netanyahu doesn't give a **** about those hostages and never has. He uses them as leverage to pursue his real aim, which is annexation of Gaza and total occupation of the West Bank, wiping out any notion of a Palestinian state. If he really wanted those hostages released, he's had plenty of opportunities to do so.

Release them in return for what? What does a Palestinian state achieve in the long term? Do you think they stop there? Why would they when they’re rewarded for a war they’ve chosen? This nonsense wouldn’t be expected of any other country in the world let alone one that ceded more than half its land for peace already.

An end to the war It may have escaped your attention, but the killing, maiming and terror isn't being meted out by Palestinian people on Israel. It's the other way around. Israeli govt are the terrorists right now. A Palestinian state is a THE very heart of all of this and always has been. It's not about a 'reward' for Oct 7th. It's a decades old equation of equitable settlement for Palestine, land that Israel took from Palestine and continues to occupy today.

And now even the small strips that are left, Israel occupy, bomb the **** out of and allow settlers to try and force people from their homes. And you wonder why they fight back ? Israel will NEVER have peace all the while they continue to act like the colonialist aggressor. You would be better off letting Palestine have their State and let them crack on with it. I think it’s fair to have a bit of paranoia given certain Arabs’ complete inability to accept Jews existing going back way beyond the last 80 years. The 1967 war was another good example of a coordinated attempt to wipe out Israel and grossly underestimating their ability. You don’t get your stake back when you stick it all on black and it lands on zero. The good news for Arab terror apologists and particularly those who have taken up the hobby in the last two years is there probably will be a Palestinian state relatively soon. They’ll have to agree on how they justify that state waging wars when it does so but I’m confident some logic will be concocted to do so.
