It was just about the only move where we looked like we knew what we were doing.

Chris Sutton actually predicated a 1:2 win for Liverpool which is surprising.

Well it was the only patient move we made against 10 men - we were actually more patient against 11 men pressing hard.

Read this morning, that for the winning goal, every Liverpool player bar one touched the ball in the build and finish.

The one who didn't, Dom who made the goal.

We just didn't want to play at 2-0.

We did that all last season even at 1-0 and then need to go rasie the game again.

Someone said is this going to be a hiding at 2-0 early.second half but we have only hided one side last year, West ham.

We stop playing and were really not trying so every free and throw was a chance.

As for slot on about frees. Mate hang on, first half you were lobbed long throws too.

<peacedove>This game is going to be a cracker but it's not going to be title decider, If Liverpool wins this, it's going to be a statement to teams challenging for the title. This is not going to be easy, and our defence is going to be tested to the limits . Every player have to be a defender when we lose the ball,
Chris Kavanagh has been appointed as the referee for this game,

All we needed to do at 2-0 and a man up, is just keep the ball. The barcodes were dropping to the halfway line, we could have played it around the back all night if wanted. They would have gotten frustrated and either get another player sent off, or we'd find a space and score.

Last night showed that we're vulnerable to set pieces and Arsenal seemingly only score from set pieces.

At least we're at home and the ref shouldn't blow his whistle every time the oppo falls over.

Basic facts are that we need to improve a lot.

the negatives - the centre of our defence is soft. We do not look cohesive as a team at all yet (kind of expected), we do not look fit (not expected) and Salah looks completely off the pace.

good bits - out shooting from outside of the box is great! Ekitike looks promising in front of goal (early days yet). Szlob has been magnificent. We haven’t played with our first choice midfield yet and Rio….oh Rio, Rio…

oh and 6/6 points while not clicking yet air not even properly fit or with our first choice midfield and RB. I’ll take it.

I'm sure I missed some things but its a decent start, regardless of performances.

BBC seem desperately keen on making newcastle a lfc rival.

This has never been a rivalry.

Newcastle won one trophy in a billion years. We happened to be in that final.

There's been loads of transfers between thr clubs before isak.

This is not like Chelsea (barely one) and certai ly not like utd and Everton.

Even arsenal is not really a rivalry that really speaks to anyone.

it’s journalism the world over. It’s not restricted to football at all. If I could turn the clock back on anything, it would be 24h news coverage, where air time needs to be filled and column inches written and the social media platforms that facilitate global BS in seconds. Both are a blight to our society imo.

Ffs i’m on a rant now

Ridiculous isn't it. Trying to use the whole Isak thing is hilarious - their player doesn't want to play for them anymore, we've offered them a lot of money to deal with the problem... Should be the very best of friends if anything

The performances will come with time and games - it's the in game management that worries me more.

Its not changed since last year.

Play to score. Play to win well then relax nto your pattern

In the prem no game away is over until its over. Even at 2-1 we never raised it at all.

At home a lot of sides just need one spark but away they can drop the heads.

It is frustrating, we are not and never will be the City of 5 years ago who could just keep the ball forever and you lose.

No idea why we keep this up when it has gotten us into trouble so many times

Am I the only one who wasn't worried at the end, as I "knew" that we'd get a winner in injury time?
