Yes I absolutely agree. We did as much as we could. So many emotions. Gordon let the team down. The club now need to address the forward situation. The kid who scored the winner for Liverpool though that’s the stuff of dreams. We fell asleep. We did our best and lost against the champions and we where the best team so let’s take that as a massive positive.
Think he went for broke tbh. The crowd were with it, you had all the momentum to go win that game at 2-2 and Howe probably thought best line of defence was attack and worked tbf until 1 time Liverpool managed to play 5/6 passes forward and just opened up the space.
If we play like that all season we will be OK. We just need an actual Cf of middling quality to poke in the odd goal
We condece too many goals off the back of popes punts... That's what did us in the end.. Punted it into an area there was no Newcastle players.. If he'd just out it out we'd have been better off. Did he even make a save today? Ultimately I suppose Gordon was the main reason but popes kicking add ups.
Liverpool are like a nightmare that just keep reoccurring... Signing our players and scoring minute winners every single time in the PL.
Typical Newcastle. Dont want to be typical Newcastle anymore. Yasir better get this sorted. I ****ing hate the scouse twats, they are **** but god they have luck on their side.
We do need to get street savvy aswell. Sometimes we just need to accept a result. We had that point in the bag but we went in which I guess I would have accepted but we lose these situations more often than not. How many times have we had our heads in our hands over the years.
For all Howe is a great coach he’s nowhere near on management and in game stuff. Hall is clearly fit enough, how the **** is Trippier starting that game? No trippier, no first goal conceded. We will never know who is really to blame for the club having no striker for two games (except Osula, who scored in his 8th minute on a pitch……) but Barnes is a shambolic decision and should not be playing. The spirit is there, Bruno is extraordinary, Ramsey looks a superb buy and Miley was very tidy. But when do we become the team that “finds a way” as Liverpool did? When do we shake the “plucky” tag?
Honestly do you think it was a red? For the record I do. It was a nasty tackle even if he didn’t mean it.
That **** resolves itself tbh, Liverpool weren't great against Bournemouth either, they need to be better to get the results regularly. Likewise when we play like we did vs Villa and tonight, we're gonna get going soon.
For all three goals pope was rooted. As much as I like Miley really don’t think he’s got it to make it here, not really sure what he offers other than composure.
It’s so predictably depressing that we stay on the lower rung, like a young stag that again just can’t do enough to be the head of the pack.
It obviously was, rash and unnecessary. Likewise his red vs Brighton was stupid and unnecessary. Guy is a bellend and becoming a liability.
Pope needs replaced next game. We got Ramsey in. Use him. Howes love for players will be his downfall. The positives are there mind we where the better side but didn’t win. Same as against Villa. We need movement from the club with a striker of two.
His kick led to that goal and it actually happens regularly... He kicks it into areas there's no chance of keeping it.. The other players then get the blame.
Needless to say changes I'd make Hall playing instead of Trippier, Livramento on the right. Osula would start I'd put Ramsay on the left instead of Barnes, all Barnes does is cut inside so just let Ramsay do it and function as an actual attacking mid I'd also give Wolves 60m
