I’m the most worried about the future for our children than I’ve ever been and despite the fact that immigration is above health on many people’s worry list it’s not immigration that worries me. I want our children to have hope. I think the next bit, if Reform continue their trajectory, is going to be awful, even worse, for children to live through.

Reform Economics These (proposed) tax breaks provide minimal benefits to lower-income households while significantly increasing the disposable income of higher-income households. Raising the tax-free allowance marginally benefits the poorest households (17 a year) but overwhelmingly favours the richest, who receive more than six times the increase. Raising the higher income tax threshold almost exclusively benefits the wealthiest households, leaving the poorest unaffected. I’m not overjoyed by Labour’s policy but anyone fancy defending this ? This is Reform who are targeting the vote of working class people in the north of England
