How’s public healthcare now in America? I’m not a fan of Starmer and some of the economic decisions they’ve made but I do think they’re mostly on a good pathway with health. The NHS was ruined by austerity and ideological cuts. Labour are putting energy into it. It’s one of the promising bits. Reform have promised massive cuts to all services. How will that help the vulnerable OAP’s and disabled? Or kids with mental health difficulties or suicidal men?

It’s you who is having the scrap man, read your posts.
Why do we have to change our way of life just because you and your mates lick the arse of the EU.
If people want imperial measurements who are you to tell us we can’t have them.

****show? Anyone with common sense and doesn’t parrot GB News, the Mail and right wing social media will realise the absolute clusterfk this government inherited would never be solved in a few months.

taxing rich farmers to help the black hole in finances was needed but of course that wasn’t popular with Clarkson and his crowd.

This government did not make the immigration problem (you can blame Farage and the Tories for that) but is putting things into place by recruiting over 300 staff to try and tackle it.

Perhaps we should listen to experts and not lying charlatans like Farage, Johnson and Gove. I think some perspective is required.

Who are these experts you keep on about?
Where were they when Brexit was being negotiated?

    We had both. :)

Nobody was licking arses but Turing your back in a market of 500 million is stupidity when people voted for it to stop
Immigration. The experts told us this would happen.

:) you are trying to rewrite history if you think you weren’t warned what would happen.

I understand why people may have been frustrated with the EU but experts told us time and time again Brexit would ruin the economy whilst making immigration worse.

I was undecided at the referendum but listened to experts which influenced my decision to vote remain. They were right and Brexit has been a disaster for this country.

The Lib Dems, perhaps, but they won't tackle the root causes. The Greens? I'd love a sensible party with strong pro-environment policies. The rest of their standpoint is too ideologically driven and until they become more moderate they are only.satisfying the demands of a narrow section of society. So, in short, no I don't.

If you google DOGE reform there’s loads on it. At this point I think there’s a lot of posturing, Durham cutting the grant for Pride and equality projects (but the big lads care about women). Nationally it’ll be the worst austerity. I can post you an independent analysis of the impact of their economic policies if you want but it predicts significant levels of cuts to services to fund tax breaks for billionaires.

It’s why I’m on this thread. There are choices beyond Reform if you aren’t happy with Labour. Ones that don’t have you idolising policies of people doing nazi salutes.
The Greens follow environmental principles. I don’t think it’s all ideological. For example a billionaire and their behaviours and investmens are known to emit more carbon emissions in 3 months than we all do in a lifetime. They need to change because it’s changing our world. Look at how dry the rivers are. Windermere is barely useable for water activities. Extremes of weather and pollution are real. Reform deny it’s real because they’re largely funded by fossil fuel companies and those said billionaires. For the record I think most main parties are in hock to donors these days and it’s problematic on its own. Reform are the extreme.

I think a big part of it is our fault. Truth is no party will get elected on a mandate of ‘lots of things are ****ed and sorting them will be very painful’. Instead we incentivise empty promises. Labour have made plenty - and pinned themselves in with a desire not to tell the public the awful truth elsewhere. Jeremy Hunt’s pernicious, tactical - and totally unfunded - tax cut left them having to either promise not to raise taxes and leave themselves hamstrung, or promise to revoke it and not get elected at all.

Whatever progress labour make in this parliament, the likelihood is that farage will get them out with more empty promises of sunlit uplands. Given his biggest policy success has been by all measures a generational failure, it isn’t his track record that people like. Instead it’s even more outlandish stories of how it will be different, while the detail makes it highly likely to make life worse for people in the North East and most of the rest of the country. But ultimately we get the government we deserve.

Answer the question about our houses dropping 50%.
Mines gone up over 200%, I wish I’d listened to your experts though.
