Noticed The Waterloo pub is having a new roof fitted after years or stagnation. The development will be good news for some of the pubs down/near old Hedon Road too.

They've been on it for weeks, with not much progress. It'd need serious money to become a pub again, I've visited the antique emporium in there a few times and it's interior is dilapidated. :emoticon-0138-think

It's a shame about those old pubs round the Old Hedon Rd, used to be a real good circuit in it's day.

I saw some enrichment on Saturday afternoon when I walked by the war memorial...2 of our 'guests' sitting swigging beer in it.

A return system (pant) for plastic bottles and cans helps. Why has the UK not implemented this?

Only 50 years ago, which is really no time at all, yet it's like a different world.

Rather than spend multi-millions re-doing Queens Gardens every 6 months, why didn't they just maintain it? All that wasted money

No mention of the hotel that was planned to join up with it. :emoticon-0138-think

Wouldn't surprise me if they turn the pub into a small hotel, can't see it being a pub anymore.

The original scheme included a 150 bedroom hotel, with a sky bar on the roof, hey ho. :emoticon-0138-think
