Interesting that Brownhill still hasn’t got a club, if no PL clubs are interested, you’d like to think we’d be right at the front of the queue. Albeit it’s weird that he left Burnley if he wasn’t going to get a move to a PL club.
Sure I saw earlier in the window about him wanting like £10m signing on fee or something, maybe that hasn’t changed
It still seems like we’ve been forced to come down in our demands. Regardless of the bias in the source Unless the reporting about us wanting 45+5 was all a some kind of spin to make it look like a real win for them when we “reduced our demands”. Hard to know what to believe. It sounds like they never wanted any sell on so getting one does seem to have been the negotiation point
I'm assuming that multiple clubs have made enquiries. But without knowing his reasons for leaving Burnley, it's impossible to gauge where he will end up. For his departure to not be confirmed until the end of July suggests that at least one party was trying to get a new contract agreed. Does he just want a fresh start? Are there geographical reasons behind him decision, maybe even wanting to play abroad? Was he unhappy with the salary which Burnley offered? Did he decide against committing to a season which is likely to be full of losing most weeks? Did Burnley inform him that he'd have a less important role this season if he stayed? Is he looking to play european football?
Well hopefully it is. Because if it's a quiet week, that might be the final straw for many fans when it comes to SR. It could easily be five to eight players out, and three to five players in. Some permanent, some loans. The only thing which I want to be quiet this week is noise around Fernandes.
And a GK, and if Fernandes goes we’ll need another CM. Plus we probably want to shift Aribo, Edozie, ABK, Sugawara, Smallbone and maybe Taylor (or maybe not depending on Wellingtons injury).
Lionel Blair? He will dance through the middle, probably throw in a few pirouettes before tapping the ball in.
Always struck me as a good guy, shame he won't be remembered quite so fondly as his countryman, Maya, is. Sayonara Yuki..
Been on the cards hasn't it? Do we know what we paid for Roeslev yet? Assuming we get close to what we paid for Sugawara, it might end up being like swapping Sugawara for Roerslev - which would be great business.

They have sold quite a few players already tbf with no incomings. Although they haven’t sold Fatuwu or El Khannouss yet so maybe this is incase they sell one of them. And at this point are they ever actually going to be punished for breaking the rules anyway?
https://x.com/cjsouthwell1902/status/1959970424210501779?s=46 George Long GK from Norwich to take 3rd keeper spot? Maybe get Sargent whilst we’re in talks with Norwich
Yep. And besides, their PSR issues are historical. Sure, they still need to punished - but until or unless that punishment includes a transfer ban (and I haven't heard that their EFL transfer ban at the end of 2023-24 still continues today?), then they're free to sign players. For their current three-year PSR cycle, for the period up 30 June 2026, I assume they're in a relatively OK position. As you say, for this season so far they haven't yet signed anyone (except for Begovic on a free) - but have sold the likes of Hermansen and Ndidi. And in the previous two years which fall into this cycle, I wouldn't be surprised if their sales (the likes of Harvey Barnes and KDH) exceed their purchases.
