2.8m is top of what we should be paying but very happy to have him back, think he offers energy, versatility and commitment which can only be a positive.
That's great news really Have to say on balance, with Saito coming in, the transfer business has been great Just not translated to any sort of performance on the pitch
Hayden has returned. On the offy now. https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/2025/august/25/isaac-hayden-returns-to-qpr/
It's a decent signing, I'm not over excited about, I had hoped we would prioritise an attacking central midfielder but welcome back anyway Issac.
Harvey Vale needs to be given a kick in that kind of role before we decide he’s rubbish. Hopefully Field ends up on the bench, been underwhelming for some time. Hayden struck me as a very solid, unfussy player who allowed others to play. He’s no spring chicken but hasn’t played that many games for his age.
I saw him playing against us last season at Pompey. I would rather him playing for us than against us. He plays really simple passes and guards the back 4 quite well. I would push Varane further forward. Just my humble opinion.
Hayden was sometimes the highlight in an awful team. He still got dropped for a few games and I don't remember people being that fussed when it happened. Anyway good luck to him, can't make the team worse.
