Capital One Cup Second Round - MK Dons v. City | Not606 We were playing the other Dons, MK Dons away. We lost. Team: - Moore, Fabio, Connolly, Ecuele Manga, Morrison, Gunnarsson, O'Keefe, Noone, Ameobi, Doyle, Revell. Subs: - Wilson, Ajayi, Peltier, Ralls, Dikgacoi, Kennedy, Macheda. Lets hope we can go one better against each other tomorrow. The other point to note was Masky and BfB bantering away at each other and it still continues to this day
Yeah, he bantered me well in Pontcanna Fields back then, but I’ll never talk about it. My lips are sealed now, but not necessarily then….now he doesn’t ring or write Masky!
I think I was at that game!! Did it go to extra time and we lost it during that period???? I dragged a couple of Bristol based work colleagues to the game with me because we had to go up to our MK office for a meeting... One of my MK based colleagues had bought a Dons season ticket (despite being a Liverpool fan). Dreadful game (if it is the same one) and I had the punishment of having to do the drive home afterwards... Not impressed!!
Well remembered Brizzle. I have just noticed the scorer of the winning goal, in extra time, was one Josh Murphy, who of course went on to join us in the Premier League. Here's an extract from his Wiki; 2015–16 season Milton Keynes Dons (loan) please log in to view this image Murphy (right) playing for Milton Keynes Dons in 2016 On 21 August 2015, Murphy joined Championship club Milton Keynes Dons on a season-long loan.[23] He scored the winning goal on his debut in a 2–1 win over Cardiff City in the League Cup 2nd Round. On 26 September 2015, Murphy scored his first league goal in a 1–3 home defeat to Derby County. On 3 May 2016, Murphy was named Milton Keynes Dons Players' Player of the Year 2015–16.[24] In total, Murphy made 46 appearances for the club, scoring 7 goals in all competitions. Murphy finished the season as the Dons' joint top goalscorer and achieved the most assists.
