I'd have to disagree tbh, he adapted for various scenarios in the Championship, playoffs, etc ... ... to bring a demoralised team up to the PL, in his first season, took quite a lot of ability imo. He's now having to get a dozen new players performing together, it'll happen I believe.
I fancy us, our home form is going to be massive this year for us. I was surprised that Brenford managed to get a win against Villa mind.
I disagree as well quick search from analysis done by folk shows.the guy prefers a 442 but constantly tweaks. For example Changing formations pre-match (e.g., from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2), Adjusting in-game with substitutions and positional shifts, Employing strategic interventions (like moving boards for set-piece control). Ya doing him a wee disservice dismissing his tactical ability for me
I cant see this 4/4/2 formation in his team selections tbh, the teams he picks always look like a 4/3/3 to me, but you may be right , I may be wrong .
They caused Villa loads of problems mate. Lad they’ve just paid £40m+ for got the winner. They’ve still got some cracking players and have loads of pace up top. It’s a tough game, won’t be easy.
Me too. Villa were awful against the mags mind, when the mags were there for the taking. Strange package then as I expected them to start strong and build on last season
Didn’t see any of the match, been on a cracking golf trip to Carden Park(highly recommended). Disappointing result, let’s hope the coaching staff get to grips quickly with the issues RLB highlighted. A defeat this early in the season to a rival might not be as bad as we think, get everyone more focused than possibly winning would have done. HTL KTF
