I don't have Sky Sports (except SSN) but I understand there is a new feature this season for Premier League games; they do a short 'interview' with one of the players during the half time break Surely there can be no dumber, more pointless gimmick than that. During half time players surely want to rest a little, clear their minds, listen to the gaffer... not give a stupid interview to a Sky camera crew. What are they expected to say?? It will be live cameras in the dressing rooms at half time next. Nothing is sacred to these TV vultures.
They'll be interviewing the players in the showers after the match next. You'll see. The segment will be sponsored by Brut (used by real men).
This. Players are all media trained from an early age. They have to be, otherwise the press will slaughter them for the slightest indiscretion. All interviews will be more or less the same bland nothingness.
