id bet against that....think Drameh has taken his opportunity with both hands, competition for places is EXACTLY what's needed tho, like the season when Christie came in and took his places forced both of them to up their game, following year when CC had gone off the boil coyles level dropped a bit too. Same on left hand side, Giles, save for one poor tackle yesterday, has made that spot his own and it's now on Williams to push him. They'll all end up starting c20 games min this season if they stay fit and will all drive each other to improve
not seen it but does the 26 include youngsters who don't need registering? e.g. McCarthy, Tinsdale and Brown?
Nope, they're not included in the listed 26 https://www.wearehullcity.co.uk/teams However, Vaughan (age 21) and Furlong are. Surely 1 or both will be loaned out? Or maybe Furlong's injury has stalled that, and maybe Jak rates Vaughan? Edit: Puerta and Laaloaui are also included! All a bit odd?
Williams and Akintola aren't on the list either. Replace Puerta and Laalaoui with them two and it will be back to 26.
v much so....Vaughan I think is well down the pecking order, behind Tinsdale and Brown, and a loan would be good for all parties, not sure what the point in furlong is! Puerta and laaloaui will obv come off!
Depends which Cody Drameh turns up next week. If it's yesterdays version when he (like everyone else) was miles off it, or the one we have seen prior to that who seemed to have a place nailed down.
**** knows who you've been watching previously then. Coyle would be great to come on if we're holding a lead, but we've sent so much down our flanks using the full backs under SJ, if Coyle walks back into the side then it'll likely all have to come from Giles instead - and then we're all too predictable in attack. Two attack minded full backs is absolutely critical to the way we've been playing and unless Coyle's suddenly willing and able to do that job, then I honestly believe he kills our game off entirely. Giles and particularly Drameh have been absolutely outstanding these past few weeks.
I think he is though. One of the best attacking displays we've seen in recent years was against Southampton and he was at RB. I don't think we can include recent stuff due to manager instructions, I mean look at how Giles has fared until now.
There's definitely a good point to be fair. We need to see Coyle turn it around like some of the others. I suppose we've not seen yet due to injury, but personally I'm not confident he will. Up to him to prove me wrong now.
Re. Hughes. Am I right that pre-match it was 'concussion'? I've just read post-match Jak saying it was illness. Hmmn
I’m not giving him pelters, but he is 110% responsible for the third goal, that was an horrific attempt at a tackle.
I still think Drameh is a possibility at CB if our situation there doesn’t improve. I also think Williams could play defensive midfield if/when he’s fit enough.
Maybe not, but he's more valuable to this club than to anyone else. We know he really cares and is capable of playing consistently well. When he gets it on his right foot he can swing a very decent ball in and he rarely gets caught out going the other way. He deserves a chance in this team as much as anyone.
