Why oh why does RLB keep using Le Fe out wide Talbi can switch over to the left put Roberts or Mayenda onto the right.
We needed Le Fe in the middle to create he is wasted on the left.
We lacked creativity yesterday, when teams play a low block you need somebody to supply the killer pass.
Isidor and Mayenda were running around like headless chickens but overall we looked flat.
I hear people saying Seelt needs to go out on loan hes been OK for me upto now Seelt will be back up and will learn more by being in the prem.

Mayenda is going to be the main man imo. I thought he did fine yesterday. Always looks a threat even on his quiet performances.

I’d agree with you as I really rate mayenda but he showed this during pre season, he missed 3 big chances during pre season and we aren’t going to get many in this league. He also still has that problem that you’ll know yourself I’ve wanted him to change for a while which is his lack of movement inside the box

He just for some reason won’t attack and run onto crosses. Once he’s in the box he kinda just stays where he is.

id like to see what Guiu can do but I really do think it could be a mistake us not signing someone with a bit more pedigree.

This isn’t me saying Mayenda is bad and can’t do it but there’s problems that were highlighted in pre season and came to fruition against Burnley.

We need the few chances we get to be taken

It was a bad bad miss yesterday, and could being argued it arguably cost us. I do think there's been an overreaction that we have to sign a striker now, was only a week ago he scored a goal he had no right scoring to send us on the way to 3 vital points. Cant just rip up our plans after one miss imo. Bigger concern for me was the lack of chances or moments he was provided, that's why I really hope we can get a game changing wide player before the window ends.

That's not what article 17 is according to other sources. I'm reading that it's within 15 days of the last game of the season.

fair points, i am not 'against' another striker but it has to be a very careful choice, the club have already spent a lot and a recognised 'top striker' will be expensive.

then i find myself wondering where we want it to end, if these new lads turn out to be less than expected do we then call for another defender, another winger, another midfielder, another keeper etc or do we allow them time...personally i am in the 'give more time' as they have shown enough to say they can cope with the premier plus we really have a bloated squad right now.

may be a long hard season (never expected anything less) so i think if we plod on to january and stock where needed we should be ok.

It was a bad miss yesterday yes. He will continue to miss chances. But he will continue to score them as well if he keeps making the right runs and getting in the right positions. Seems a great lad and he’ll work hard to score the next one.

Btw I really like Talbi. He’s dangerous. But I really would like to see him on the left. I think he’s a bit nullified on the right

I get your points Cam, but I cant really judge EM on pre season, guys a big game player

He missed a glorious chance but let's not act like this is unique to us or even young strikers, some of the best in the world miss them

I get its arguably cost us 3 points, but im more concerned about us not creating a chance I the 2nd half

And the fact we brought off our wingers when chasing the game

    Exactly.

    He missed 1 of 1.

The concern is he didn’t miss 1 of 3.

Be less concerned overall if he missed 3 of 3. We didn’t create, and we didn’t look like creating.

That’s the focus area, not a striker missing a single chance.

I don’t even know who the 3 are meant to be, so can’t be that obvious a clique.

    Regarding our strikers.

Wilson. When we have very difficult games such as Liverpool and Arsenal we will spend most of the game defending.
He has the pace to score breakaway goals and can score worldie goals which is what will be needed against top sides.
He does seem to be less of a threat around the box in general play.

Mayenda. He has pace and can carry the ball from defence to goal scoring positions. He also gets into scoring positions although he does tend to miss a lot. He could also be used on the right wing. He should be picked for middle difficulty games such as Palace.

Guiu(?) Don’t know about him but he seems to be the proper striker in and around the box so could be used for games where we will have some scoring chances.

We probably are ok with our striking options. Maybe 4th in the list of priorities after CB’s and RW.

While I do agree we need another winger, the ELF out wide thing runs a bit deeper imo. He brings him on there as he views him as a bit of a weakness centrally and is prioritising running power there this season. Personally I disagree, but the squad composition as it is now will lead to less time for ELF in his most effective position (as a deeper central midfielder) unless injury or results force his hand.
