Ron and SMH yet to come: Barnsley, Huddersfield Town, Bradford City and Stockport County are the favourites while we're all at odds on Northampton Town V Exeter City. Oddly though, Lyndhurst and Sensible have gone outside those favourites with their jokers. Interesting. Plym is now convinced that Argyle can defend for 45 minutes. Let's hope he's right!
Having moved away from my normal 45 mins prediction last time....which would have given me an easy 3pts win....I sheepishly sneak back to predicting 45 mins again.
Yes of course it’s not all about Argyle having a tighter defence….. it also means Argyle won’t score in the first half……..

The double points on this 5th round of games did indeed get us all into double points, with the exception of Ron, who I don't think submitted an entry. However, only Lyndhurst achieved double points before application of the doubling. He's on 62 cumulatively compared to Sensible's 52 after 5 games last season, although of course I can't say whether there is an imbalance of double points or whatever between the two years. Have you got a new method Lyndhurst? Huddersfield v Stevenage and Stockport v Burton yielded most of the points. Plym got the goal time by reverting to his "45th Minute Ploy", which Argyle delivered for him. Lyndhurst goes back into the lead while Ron's no-show cost him dear with double points on offer. If I may say so, I'm doing surprisingly well, which is very odd because at this stage of the season I'm basically guessing compared to the number crunching I usually do (or make the computer do actually) when the data builds up. There's probably a life-lesson in there somewhere. We have a nice break now: no fixtures until next Saturday! I'll get the match text out shortly.
Here are the next set of matches, which will commence on Saturday 30th August at 12:30.
