If we’re serious about dumping a bag on Savinho then I think we should also try and sign El Khannous - not just because it’ll be funny to mess Steve Parish around, but also because I think he’s a bit underrated and will do a good job for us while our two very good 10s get fit again. He’s got a lot of room to grow as well and can play off the left if minutes were an issue. And wouldn’t cost Nico Paz money with all the risk involved in that.

Then we need another LB, if they can also play LCB then that gives us room to loan out one of the younger CBs - the fact there’s akready rumours about Vuskovic being loaned despite him getting quite a low squad number suggests there’s something in the pipeline there.

Totally agree with all this mate. Savinho, El Khannous and a LCB / LB would be a fantastic window. Hell of a lot to do in 9 days though.

I'd be happy with that. plus I'm quietly hoping that we do go back ion for MGW in the winter window, or next summer.

We do know that he actually wants to join us, plus I'm also hoping that our performance this season does indeed prove that we are, in fact, the club that is big enough to 'deserve' Nottingham Forest's best players, despite the recent posturing of their chairman.

Hopefully this season's form continues neatly and shocks a few doubters and haters.

I really hope Levy understands the massive opportunity that he has right now. If he does the right things in this window, there is no reason why we shouldn't disrupt the top 3 in the premier league.

I hope Frank make the PL a priority in the same way that Ange did with the EL.

I like this if it's true....

Premier league experience means Levy has to really push the boat out. I really hope Levy just backs Frank with what he wants.

TV2 reports that they're not a Ministry song, and actually a Norwegian source who are reporting that we had scouts at Ranheim's match this afternoon to watch their CM Famara Camara, with Slavia Prague also in attendance

Probably one for January, given the Norwegian season wraps up in November

Romano says we’re willing to go over €70m for Savinho and the player’s still keen on joining.

I mean I’ve made no secret of what I think about him by basically being Mahrez without a brain but if Frank is seriously pushing for him then I think we have to trust his judgement after how he’s helped multiple forwards become Prem proven players.

Can’t help feeling Semenyo would’ve been the perfect signing though, really think Semenyo under Frank could’ve gone up one or two more notches than what he’s already doing at Bournemouth. A shame he signed his new deal, wouldn’t be against still testing the waters though.

I can’t see past my own logic and I’m happy to argue it in this regard

if he’s 70 mill of talent why didn’t we offer it earlier? or anywhere near that figure?

I don’t think he’s anywhere near that and this is another act of desperation from Levy…Imagine losing out on every main target…MWG, Eze and now Savinho potentially.

Would be happy with Semenyo as mentioned yesterday but that won’t be happening

We’re in desperate mode again and everyone knows it

    Completely agree.

Currently the only argument in favour of signing him is the fact that Frank is apparently obsessed with him.

Which, granted, is quite a strong argument.

I just fear that we've been so sidetracked by the "we tried" brigade this summer, we are in risk of neglecting other areas of the squad.

Sign Savinho and we are still short at 10, FB, CB and probably CM too, and we'll have very little money and time left to spend on those.

The only window in recent history where we've done good business on multiple fronts relatively early in the window was two years ago.

    The reason?

We knew we had £80m+ on the way to the purse thanks to Kane's departure.

Otherwise it's the usual procrastination farce.

So the number 10 options linked with us are -

Paqueta - Top player can play 10 or 8 would West Ham sell to us again ? Potential Bissouma swap maybe ?

El Khannouss - Do-able deal good player would lose him to Afcon though

Paz - unbelievable talent would be an incredibly complicated deal. Would he adapt to the premier league ? If it works he has potential to become elite.

Morgan Rogers - Unbelievable player would be perfect for us but would cost £80m + very unlikely unless Villa have to sell for FFP reasons .Doubt Villa would sell this late on though as not enough time to get in replacements .

Personally think another good option would be Asencio did very well at Villa last season. Bags of experience very good player potential loan with option to buy. Would be high wages.

For me it’s Paqueta he would tick the most boxes.

LW it seems to be Savinho or bust

LCB / LB Hincapie heavily linked if not him I haven’t got a clue .

id be amazed if west ham sold paqueta, especially to us. Their fans would riot!

looking at the options here, it doesn’t feel like any of the deals will be straight forward for different reasons. Add to that the fact that every club knows we’re desperate, and it doesn’t bode well.

Di Marzio says we've submitted an offer for Paz, but there's no way they'll accept €50m given half of that heads to the Stadio Generalissimo

Change the Euro symbol to a GBP symbol and we might get things started

    El Khannous do able

I know nothing about him so not got an opinion on his talents but would welcome the squad bolstering if nothing else

for a club like us that’s do able it just depends on Levy and his antics

Morgan Rogers is the clear option for me, especially if we want PL experience. He's a no nonsense player and he's still young, which makes him an even better investment than he that shall not be named. Let Villa buy Paqueta and West Ham battle it out with Crystal Palace for El Khannouss.

Paz would be great too, but I doubt he's gonna move this way.

I hope we do go all out for Savinho, regardless of the obvious risk of being fleeced by Man City, simply because that's Frank's choice (If the rumours are true of course).

Savinho and Morgan Rodgers would be the perfect statement of intent for Levy and Tottenham. Villa don't have CL football and I imagine might be feeling PSR pressure to some degree.

It would also challenge that narrative that Marinakis was attempting to spin off how Tottenham are not a significant enough level above them to warrant selling MGW to us.

I hope Levy finds his big boy pants and starts moving like he actually intends to win the league.

    Agree.

My worry is Villa won’t sell Rogers even though they’d make a huge profit on a player they only signed last February. Like you say he ticks all boxes and at 23 is the perfect age to spend big money on.

I’m still not fussed about Savinho but it would be ideal to get two big name players from rival clubs.

    I see nothing happening

    a few loans at best

loans with option to buy to make the fans think thee is a smart strategy in place and win win situation

typical Levy tactics on the horizon imo
