Leeds are on a roll. They were great last year and opened up their PL season with a win.
Well have to be sharp to get 3pts, better than we were against Utd.

Happy with that score at HT.
    Football has been poor again.
Awful miss from Gyokeres, Maudeke has looked meh and Zubi looks out of his depth
    Team not gelling yet perhaps.

    Great result.
Probably the worst performance for a 5-0 I have seen, but will take it!

Saka injury is a big problem. With both he and Havertz out - that's our two best players IMO gone for the Liverpool game.

Very pleased to see Gyokeres get off the mark - even if he was poor overall the goals will do wonders for his confidence - especially his first goal.

Great result, but some worrying injuries.

Good to see Gyokeres get a brace on his home debut, that will do his confidence the world of good

Also great to see Dowman make such an impact on his home debut too

Very relieved that we've been so active in the market, because injuries to Havertz, Odegaard and Saka on week 2 of the season if we hadn't recruited would have seen us all blowing our lids right now

Eze goes straight into the team for Liverpool. Madueke on the right

    Great result

2 goals for Gyokeres will do him a world of good.

Sad about Saka that's a problem - seeing as he had hamstring surgery last Season. Hopefully it's not a major tear.

I think Odegaard will be fine.

Excellent win in the end. The first 30 minutes were very frustrating, though. We had 0 shots on target and it looked like we were struggling to create up until the corner from Declan Rice that led to the opener. Raya also had to make a good reaction save from Struijik at 0-0. But after Timber got the first goal, then we seemed to relax and play our stuff.

Much better second-half performance. Defence were imperious. Calafiori again is such a cheat code when he inverts. He's so technically gifted. Really hope he can stay fit. Top player.

Timber was exceptional, but this is nothing new for him. The fact he topped it off with 2 goals and an assist is an additional bonus.

Zubimendi I felt was more effective in the second half. Didn't think he was as good in the first half due to the zone he was operating in where it seems to imbalance our midfield.

Madueke played well and had a decent game, but want to see more from him in terms of getting into goalscoring position and final third decision-making.

Dowman when he came on looked brilliant. Including pre-season, that's 3 games in 3 where he's won a penalty. He has such huge talent and promise. And you can tell the players trust him because they were giving him the ball and allowing him to take players on. What a prospect.

I did fear for Gyokeres when he missed that chance in the first half, but his 1st goal was a superb bit of individual work and skill to power past Leeds' defence and score. And he took that penalty emphatically too. Which is what you want to see from your centre forward.

Saka's goal was unreal. He has such good technique from those acute angles and insane shooting power with both feet. The injury looks a worry though, he looked gutted when he came off and Arteta's post-match comments weren't encouraging. I think he'll be out for a few weeks.

Equally, even with Odegaard, he clearly couldn't shake off that shoulder injury. I'm not sure how serious, but I'd also be surprised if he makes the Liverpool game.

    I guess we'll see, though.

Overall, a great win at home and another clean sheet. Onto Anfield next...

Not sure about this guy’s credentials, but if it’s true then this is encouraging news

Yeah 'The Time's reporting Saka injury not as bad as first feared. <ale>

I wouldn't be surprised if Odegaard is fit for Anfield.

I'm not sure we saw our best 11 even once last Season - can't have another Season like that,
