Gillingham are doing well. He’s not a mug. A fair argument to say he’s just suited to working with lesser players than our superstars but he did phenomenally at Wycombe and Gills fans love him. QPR can ruin anyone and anything put in its path.

You wonder how clubs without a Head of Methodology cope sometimes. Nice gig I imagine, just overseeing all the methodology.

I have not seen the lowlights and I was not at the game.

I expected to lose to a team that finished 5th last season, have a stable team and started the season well. I did not expect a thrashing.

By contrast, we have a new manager, new players and an unestablished formation with some very odd decisions, especially on the goalkeeping front.

Entirely understandable meltdown (which I've joined in) but it really is just one game. Let's take stock after Charlton at home.

Apparently it's the same as a one nil loss
Say that again if we go down on the last day because of goal difference

Whilst I agree with the above and clearly we are by no means cut adrift yet, the sheer nature of the defeats and the way we are playing is the concern. Its abysmal football

Including the Cup game we have conceded 13 goals in 4 games, over 3 a game average. Last season I think (will probably stand corrected) that we conceded 63 goals in the league - based on what we've achieved so far we are on course to easily surpass that unless something radical happens

    That's the concern

    Comment:-
"They look like players in the changing rooms after losing a match 4-0 and are waiting for the angry dressing down by their coach."

    Does a 7-1 loss count?

I wonder if this guy, if not crocked, could still get the job done for us?

Rather prophetic with Charlton Athletic next up at home (I was there with Finglas Nov 23, 2013)

    Hmm.

Everyone who thinks they know how the club is being run, that the manager is being dictated to, etc... needs to chill the **** out. There's absolutely no evidence for that and I don't believe anyone here knows what's going on, unless they have some insider leaked info coming from a source they have?

Sacking a manager after three games... I hope that QPR won't be that kind of club. For me, that would be an even worse sign of a club being run poorly.

Relegation is not on the cards after 3 games.

Have we learned nothing from being QPR supporters? I've lost count of how many seasons a significant load of fans have been saying "we're doomed, League 1 here we come." And when was the last time we were in the third division? They were wrong all of that time, for all those seasons.

Managers deserve a chance to turn things around. If they can't, then they go. But if we sack a manager every time we hit a bad streak, we will be heading for league 1 guaranteed.

That is part of the problem though. We don’t have a manager in the sense we think of one is the hypothesis. We have a new, experienced defensive coach who doesn’t work weekends and the defence is a shambles. We have the elite fitness megabrain and the players are either injured or knackered after an hour. We have a head of methodology who… dunno.

The people who think this, do so because that's what we have been informed happens. Surely you've seen the numerous interviews and fans forums. The players are bought by the club, which I totally understand. The style and formation is set by the club, from the youth teams up to the first team. That's the club dictating quite a bit whether rightly or wrongly is a matter of opinion.
Losing 7-1 at this level is embarrassing, pathetic, unorganised and disgraceful, however you dress it up.
Julien might be a great coach, he might be a **** coach but he was brought in to say 'yes'.
I keep harking on about the Nardi situation. There were stories about Walsh being no.1 whilst we were interviewing the old Norwich manager.

Sacking him is pointless, it's a different approach we need from the powers above.

Also fair to say that there is a collective frustration after a decade of nothing. 15 years since the Warnock promotion season. That’s not anyone currently at the club’s fault but we have an incredibly patient set of fans and you can feel it already in a way that wasn’t there even at the worst of Ainsworth. You can have the odd good run of form to get people positive temporarily but lots of little things chip away particularly for people spending a big chunk of their money and free time following the club.

Lovely day down here, the big Sussex derby between Lewes and Burgess Hill tomorrow. No QPR for almost a week. Celar is being sold to a nice family who live on a farm but we can’t visit him. It’s not all bad.

Bottom line is that we need a convincing win on Saturday against Charlton

It's all very well Julien apologising and promising a "completely different team of QPR" for that match, but as paying fans we deserve and need to see better performances both tactically and physically on an ongoing basis

As a supporter who turns up home and away every game I expect to see some poor performances and know that there are much better teams than us in the division, but what I can never accept are collective performances like we saw yesterday

I've even started looking at alternative matches to attend rather than going to Wrexham - and that is a first for me

Tomorrow will be my 4th match in 7 days and I can guarantee that in those 4 matches I will only have seen one gutless performance
