The best thing about Poveda is that his parent could have went with all manor of Linda cool sounding Hispanic names, Carlo, Carlitos, Juan Pablo, Paulo, Sergio…. They went really hue and thought ‘**** it, he looks like an Ian’ Belta.
I’m sure it’s not an official application thing but ultimately it’s all about perception and I’d imagine a lot of casual readers and contributors to this board will see it as being very cliquey particularly in these bickering threads. I think both sides are as bad as each other. It makes grim reading non the less.
Genuine question/thought on Poveda. He seems to be the only one of the undesirables turning out for the 21s. Pembele, Ba, Hemir seem to have vanished into thin air. Is it because he’s the only one likely to get any semblance of a half decent move? Or because he’s the only one willing to graft?
Bit of both I’d wager. Thing is, Poveda can play, he’s shown it Sheff Wed and Leeds, just not PL. Likely the club want to show he’s fit; and performing to try get a fee from Championship club.
Further to my post earlier since 9.15 I have received messages asking for a fight. In that time I have replied given where I drink pre match, my.route to the ground, the stand, row and block I sit in, who I sit with, the village I live in and the branch I travel with. Up to know that still isnt enough and I am requested to meet 1 v1. Frankly at 50 this is ****ing ridiculous, but if this is how serious 606 and social media is then what the actual ****. I've apologised once for disrupting the thread, I wont be apologising again. 606 used to be a place you could have a laugh, now im being asked for a fight. I fully appreciate I dont see eye to eye with a particular poster, I try and ignore him but his posting style can be quite aggressive and comes across like he is better than us mere mortal posters. I recall being labelled as an old poster who didnt understand modern football a few weeks ago. That however does not mean physical violence should be offered over and over for 3 hours on a message board. If its acceptable to you all then fair enough, I am clearly in a minority
