That was because we were up against a team similar standard to us. Hard to love looking forward to another half dozen trouncing like this

If it showed one thing, its the powers that be need to get some more signings in, one thing about this show is that surely they can see we're miles away from competing against anything but the half dozen teams that are around us.
    Poor all round

As doc said that doesn’t exactly make it easy to sell the club to any prospective signings

Farke has built a big strong team and I’m guessing the idea is to make us hard to beat.

The problem is against the top teams we have no outlet, 4-3-3 didn’t work today and we never hurt them or even gave it a go

We had a little spell prior to their goal where we got a foothold, strung a few passes together, created some good opportunities. Goals change matches. Sure as hell did in this one. The first took the wind out of us but the sucker punch was the second just before half time. That cushion meant they could take their shackles off then. We weren’t that bad defensively - they created very little from open play all day but at 2-0 they could relax and ping it about.

It was what we were like on the ball that was really disappointing today. We all know Arsenal are a great pressing side, we just got caught by it too easily and then lost confidence to play through it - and continually played backwards to the keeper who hoofed it back to them.

My take is that it’s no one single root cause. Against a side like them, the guy on the ball is closed down quicker, the guys he’s meant to pass to are being closed down quicker, it puts pressure on the man in possession to be technically good, decisive and release the ball quickly. We always wanted an extra touch or were simply hurried into a misplaced pass. So you have guys like tanaka and Stach who look technically good on Monday, seem unable to hit someone in the same coloured shirt today.

you did, and I’m sure we all took note<cheers> I had no view as I’d never heard of him, and was bemused by the high level of enthusiasm from Leeds fans who I was pretty sure had never heard of him either

I didnt know much of him at all but it didnt take a long look at his stats and career to figure that he is a bit on the eccentric side and not too clever with his feet.

Its early doors but it doesn't look good for him.

Talk was that Perri tried to get Paixao to sign, seems likely he dropped the phone half way through the call...and the rest..

I predicted Darlow would finish the season in goal for us. He might finish August in goal.

Much against my better judgement I watch MOTD highlights and what I saw of him was piss poor. There seems to be a 2 second delay in his reactions. ****ing hope he improves.

Didn’t watch the game but by the sounds of it we just didn’t react to how they played against us. I know it’s easy to say but no idea why we didn’t start Nmecha after his brilliant cameo the other day, same with Harrison (very good presser and holder of the ball - Gnoto isn’t good at this and losing the ball to easily). Bijol should’ve started too. And probably Longstaff for his experience. Let’s see if Farke learns his lessons. Shocked he started Piroe after the other night tbh.

I think since he's been here, Farke as proved he's pretty much loyal to an 11 that as won the previous game and only seems to change things as a necessity, that could well be to his detriment this season

The hard part was not much fight , we could've done it alot different , farke needed a wake up call and this must be it , gruev is nowhere near this level but farke insists on playing him
