Apologies if the language offended. However if I said we were really poor, the points I made would still stand

We were poor. If we play like we did in the second half, we'll lose 90% of games this season. There was nothing unlucky about it. If we play like we did in the first half, we'll make a good fist of it this season, as long as we take our chances.

I'm sure RLB and the players will know that they need to be much better than we were today to survive in this league.

Well just back and disappointed with the 2nd half. Thought first half we were the better team passed it well got in behind them a few times and could have been a couple up before half time. Mayenda should have scored not sure who had the other chance may have been talbi. 2nd half to slow gave Burnley time to get 11 behind the ball and we never looked like breaking them.down. It's a steep learning curve but although a disappointing result I'm not downhearted. Move on and learn from it.

Don't think we were poor at all tbh, I think they sat in like they always do and we struggled to break them down the ref was ****ing ****e and they literally got every single bounce going for them. **** happens.

Thought there fans were cany loud tbh the loudest ive witnessed in a while probs because they were so close.

Came back from putting the bairn to bed and a nana franca's (lush) to find we're comparing a 15 year old coming on for Arsenal at home to the trenches in WW2 and people basically agreeing that we weren't very good, but dont like how some (me included) are portraying it.

Time to log off for the night and chill in front of the tv.

    Peace and Love HWLT

Stayed out of this thread today as I’m genuinely absolutely gutted about it. No bed wetting or anything, just genuine disappointment. I know the rational outlook is that one game doesn’t define a season, of course it doesn’t. But my anxiety doesn’t work that way unfortunately. I just see a huge opportunity missed and I struggle to see us scoring enough goals. It’s completely irrational of me so I don’t need anybody telling me so, I already know.

I’m worried about scoring enough goals and I don’t think Guiu was the right striker to bring in. And I can’t see us bringing another in unless Isidor goes.

One of the disappointing things about the premier league is that games don’t come thick and fast like the EFL. So when you lose you don’t get the chance to bounce back quickly.

Need a win next week and if we do it’s still a good start.

Ps - I’ve also not read any of the thread because I’m sure it will just make me frustrated as it will be some people over reacting and then people over reacting to them over reacting

75% of votes on this thread predicted a win. Lots of posts about it being the right thing to demand or expect a win.

There was some analysis about Burnley at Spurs as a guide to today. Completely unaware of what Spurs have become so far under Frank. As a fan set we were a bit over confident. As fans that is our perogative. But when it doesnt work out like we expect, and a few who suggested a draw would be cracking, are pointed too, it is a bit daft for me.

Burnley did a number on us today. Parkers setup was one he knew we couldnt play against. He got his tactics right and earned his result. There was pointing of fingers at Parker on here. He won the tactical battle today though. Regis is much less experienced though, ans he is on a steep curve. Lets see how we go at home against them. My money would be on Regis turning the tables. But today is Parkers day.

I thought today was a terrible advert for modern football but pretty similar to many of our games under rlb. They are not exactly thrill a minute are they. Very pedestrian and all about getting the first goal and keeping shape. We started the second half very poorly and got what we deserved. We never tested their keeper once after mayendas miss. Its been a common theme for a long time now

Thats how i see it really, we don't do well taking the game to teams and we had to today because thats there bread and butter, I expected better it didnt happen but what did cheer me up was the leeds result and we are still ahead of the other 2 promoted teams.

Surely after last weekend result people expected a win and the way we played against them last season or is that not allowed now?

Hindsight seems to be a great argument to prove a point

I have spent years coaching teenagers in academies in this country. They are all different, but plenty need to play mens football and not be protected. Some do need protecting and a slower journey. Lads like Rigg need to play. There is a growing number of that sort too.

Because they value what he means to their club and their future. Oh, and Arteta reckons he is top class.

Haway lad, you know that is daft surely? Arteta has the deepest squad in the prem for me. He has great reasons to play him

Seen a few post about 'expecting a win' going into this. I think thats a bit unfair, theres a difference between expecting a win and thinking we will win. I was confident today, I thought we would win but no result would of surprised me. Seeing what Burnley had to offer after today doesnt change my mind that I was wrong to think this was a game we should of targeted to win. Should of been ahead at half time and then second half we were poor. Burnley scored a good goal to take the lead and saw us off comfortably, which is something we have to improve on. If we played at our best, we win today imo but we didnt and we got beat and probably deservedly so.
