QPR head coach Julien Stephan told BBC London: "I can promise one thing: it will be a completely different game next week against Charlton. We will react for sure next week. "We did a lot of mistakes today. It's unacceptable. We will think about the next week and how we can react. "This is a big challenge. This is the first time in my career I have to deal with a score like this, but in football you learn a lot. "I just want to promise that next week it will be completely different and you will see a completely different team."
I'm starting to wonder if he's not being picked because he's a bad apple in the squad? Maybe he has bad character. I can't think of any other reason not to be playing him now.
Sorry to hear about your brother, hope he's on the mend. We're just punch drunk from the shambles, you were lucky to miss it...
Cheers mate, it’s not the BIL who was with me at the Defectors for the PNE game. It’s the Rovers fan who was with me at the glorious penalty shoot out win in the league cup a few years ago.
Thanks mate, luckier than most it seems. Getting sh1t from a mate who supports Charlton on another channel… how I’d like to go back to sleep til sun up
Currently in Brum airport. Up since 3.45am for that pile of ****e. I almost walked at HT for the first time in my life. Within 2 minutes of going back in for the second half it was 6-0. We are still 3 or 4 players light from having an ok squad. I am all for giving a man a fair chance but that performance was so bad, the Head Coach just has to go. There is no way we can risk any more damage being done. Get the Eze money out and start spending before the window closes. I won't get home till 11pm and our boss will probably be sipping champagne tonight. Not a happy bunny!!
I'm only hoping that performance triggers some kind of response, it should've at half time but didn't of course. I could not be more pessimistic though, it was so so bad. If I'd travelled over from Ireland I'd be absolutely sick as well
Thank feck i decided to play golf this afternoon rather than watch that clusterf*ck.... With the comment about us not to be expecting wins at the start of the season to that performance, both should be sacking offences..... Feck me.....
There's so many issues at the club that helped towards that result today. The 'project' is failing, whatever the ****ing project is. We are only allowed to play one way, dictated by the hierarchy. The coach then has to select the players to play in this formation that's forced upon him. We need a strong manager not some yes sir, three bags full sir fella. Stephan is weak, he's dictated to as shown earlier in the carabau cup. That performance was a disgrace and the club should reimburse those travelling fans. Cook is past it, Morgan is naive and can't make decisions. Madsen is ****in garbage and needs to leave, same as Celar. Forget buying every ****ing winger on the market and strengthen the spine of the team. Play 2 up ****in front ffs. Guardiola initiated all this formation and passing out from the keeper and suddenly everyone thinks that's the only way you can play. A simple press can easily disrupt that as Peps found out himself. Stephan needs to grow some bollox but I fear he will go the same way as Marti if he speaks up.
I thought he said it would be a totally different game against Coventry after last weeks first half against Watford. Well that didn't happen it was worse. Words are easy so now prove it against Charlton. Could get ugly if it is another poor performance especially when it is at home.
Then we sack him and get the next guy on the list that will take orders from Nourry, de souza and Williams. Talk about over complicating things
It wasn't long ago that every football pundit described the playing out from the back bullshit as 'playing properly'. It's bollocks, and mostly unwatchable.
Not sure sacking him is the answer yet. However if things don't improve fast someone needs to take responsibility. Its been 10 years now since we came down from the premiership and so far there has been no improvement in us being a bottom half championship team . Other teams like Coventry have dropped to the first division and at present look ready to challenge to go back up. Also I don't need to mention cup runs.
