They say he's so mature as well, wouldn't throw him in unless they were confident he could deal with it
There's something seriously wrong, at Arsenal, if their staff don't realise 15 year olds shouldn't be put in this position. If this is the best they have, in that squad, they've failed.
By all accounts he’s very highly rated mind. They could use Madueke or Nwaneri there but think they want to see if this kid really is THAT good. Think Lamine Yamato was only 16 in his breakout season for Barca and played every league game plus some more in Europe
@FellTop did you see Regan Hendry's goal for Mansfield today? He's an Edinburgh lad, known of him since he was about 12 while he was playing youth football. Scored a screamer today
Nowhere near the same situation but I fully expected you to make such a comparison ... ... that was an FA Cup we never had an expectation of winning, this is an actual PL title campaign. If you can't see a difference it's because you've decided not to.
I disagree. I just see it as a game of competition and football. Player at 15 if you have every dealt with them ( you probably haven't) don't even see the occasion. They see the opportunity. He will be managed amazingly well and have a great opportunity to have a fantastic, wealthy life. The same as Rigg our star boy apparently. The same pressure now, maybe more. More well known within his club. Now in the PL Comparison is fine to make. Your judgement on it, no so. IMO.
I don’t think it’s wrong as such but it should be very carefully managed, too much too soon can cause problems for young lads especially at this level the pace of the game is relentless. If they think he’s ready and good enough I suppose it’s pointless leaving him in youth football because it’s not very competitive. If Saka is out injured I expect they’ll start Madueke on the right now and Eze on the left but this lad will likely get minutes off the bench and that’s the right way to do it imo.
If a massive PL club, going for the title, have to rely on children I'd say they've got off to a poor start ... ... if it was the last few games, and they were down to the bare bones, that's a different matter.
