You not think talbi may be that player? He's getting more confident every game imo

Agreed re the low block. Our fellow relegation contenders will notice this and I personally think we will face it more than we possibly expect

Yeah, I think we were poor, but probably because they sat in. They're probably the only team in the league that will do that to us so showed our weakness.

I expected more tbh but knew it was going to be hard.

Every point in this league is good, 3 is massive

so when Ballard does not play we are crap, yet how much spent in defence ? Frigging disaster this that was a must win game, but this is Sunderland we are talking about back to pre season form etc, so dread these other 18 away games we spent a fortune and lose yet drew there last season so how ? that striker we always needed most likely will not come either they will pay the price for this first Le Bris then Speakman, wolves and Leeds are must win games now. this is terrible because you don't expect this too happen

I’d throw in a centre forward as well. Mayenda and Isidor as much as I really rate them. Don’t have that ruthless streak and selfish intent in the box Burnley centre half’s we’re not really under pressure today

Dissapointing yes but let's not **** the bed here we've played 2 and got 3 points on the board. I'd have taken that as had us down for 2 draws so we're already 1 point better off than I predicted.

Thought Seelt should have been out quicker for the first goal but not gonna hang him out to dry as he probably wasn't fully fit to play for as long as he did. I thinknin the last 2 games we've seen the value of the first goal. Personally thought West Ham were slightly better than us last week until we scored and vice versa this week.

Anyway onto Brentford win next week and this will be forgotton

Been impressed and surprised with Talbi. He’s got better and better through pre season Still raw but a definite plus for me. However not sure he is the answer to our goal scoring

I thought the game overall was really poor today, thought both sides lacked quality and the 1st goal was always going to be vital - unfortunately they got it.

I was worried about our creativity in the final 3rd and it's something we must improve on to give us the best chance of a successful season

I still think Burnley are a lot worse than us though, and today didn't change that

Our tempo was poor and we just didn't move their back 4/5 around enough.

I thought we needed to keep Talbi on (or play Masuaku LM)but move him to the left wing, we needed to drag their defence out but instead we allowed them to defend narrow. Burnley were able to defend narrow against us and we struggled

We need to find a way to break teams like that down, as it was an issue last season and we don't want it to be one this season.

I did think we restricted them tho and thats a positive. I believed at the start of today we needed at least 2 more signings and that hasn't changed - there's def a case for 3 as I don't think Roberts has the pace for the PL.

There's nothing wrong with folk venting or moaning about a performance, forums are for all different opinions - its what makes this place good imo - as long it's about the match itself.

Today wasn't good enough, we will have more like this but we will have plenty like last weekend

Goalscoring may not be his thing, but working uo and down the wing and across the front 3 will assists and goals.

Great to see a lad with skill and effort
