Trafford going to City has to rank as the most pointless transfer of the summer (for the player)

Clearly not good enough to be their no1, only getting games cause Ederson if off. So he's joined to be backup when they replace Ederson, after being Championship player of the season.

I get it from City's pov, he's HG and they don't actually need to play him. But as a player he's tried to jump from the bottom step of a ladder to the top without using the middle steps.

Spurs winning a game is sad.
City losing a game is joyful.

I think it will be their year this year
    I did think Chavs but…
Could be a very good race this year tbh

Yeah was very odd one. Didn’t rate him when he played in prem and got relegated, thought looked super weak but obviously did well last year in Champ however Burnley’s incredible defence was somewhat weird as their XG conceded was massively high compared to actual goals conceded. Going and being number 1 at team competing at top of Prem was a huge jump and although I’m sure he improved, not sure he improved that much.

Do wonder if they thought get him in to be backup for a season and he’s club grown for Europe which is super helpful for them. With Newcastle wanting to buy, seems like they took the risk to get him now and can always sell him again rather than go to Newcastle suddenly become brilliant and they miss out on him

Arsenal no doubt brilliantly defensively. Didn’t watch game today but more set piece goals suggests that still their most dangerous route to goal and remains to be seen how they get on breaking down stubborn defences if they can’t score from set piece.

    Watched a bit.

Leeds pretty much let Arsenal win. Tried to play out from the back, rubbish at set-pieces, never really put any pressure on Arsenal, let Arsenal play that their own tempo and then fell apart.

Can't judge much from this game. Leeds will probably lose most of their away games and Arsenal will probably win most of their home games, so as expected.

Lad they beat Leeds at home. They struggled against utd.

There where a number getting very giddy about city battering wolves the week before, come up against a decent team 2 nil loss. Its a bit early to be talking about auras

Yeah you've got to earn the aura.

There's top sides in this league and its looking a bit more uncompetitive again.

The bottom half are starting to look well off the pace already.

Its difficult at this early stage to point to a team and say "champions already" if we beat castle on Monday it would give us an advantage. Most have played 1 ****e 1 decent and the results & performances have been mixed.

Arsenal v utd where poor but ran away against Leeds
City battered wolves but where second best at home v spurs
Chelsea poor result v Palace but battered west ham

The relegation candidates are easy to identify, but I'll be ****ed at this stage to pick a winner.

    No team looks infallible

    Ill add to this.

Im struggling to see an identity? A clear system of play that's different from the top teams.

Im unsure if I've expressed that correctly.

Pep has always played a certain way, he's deviated from that.

Under klopp we where full throttle, no longer

I feel the "evolution " of how to play has maybe stalled? And it more about who's got the best players rather than the best system. Probably bollocks though
