    Bad day at the office. Need to get Lucumi over the line before Brentford. Love Ballard but there’s another injury which knowing our luck will keep him out for a good few weeks. Hopefully we learn from this and we move on

    Utter bull that for me, especially folk on here - we all want Sunderland to win and we were all buzzing about last weekend

    Nothing wrong to be disappointed with today's result and have a few vents but noone is revealing in getting beat

    Yeah, we're built to play on the counter and we'll play better than that 30 times this season. We could do with some creativity to change a game like this though. Le Feè can do that sometimes but RLB wasted him on the wing.

    We were poor throughout and that’s just based on today.

    I’m sure we will be better v Brentford, and I’m sure there will be some further additions.

    We need a left sided player. That’s clear.

    Different game if Mayenda scores, few sides will sit that deep against us, but we need more as we never looked like coming back once they scored.

    We be cool.

    To be honest it was never going to be easy but it is natural to be disappointed with that especially second half. Doesn't mean we are giving up but it is a reality check and a wake up. Brentford just beaten Villa so it will be tough next week.

    We are a relatively young and new team so work to be done

    Mayenda scores may have been different
