Yeah he’s been great. Just seems to be everywhere and wins so many second balls. Thought Trafford was a lucky boy as was whoever trod on Porro. We’ve had a couple of moments where Vic has had to earn his corn but it’s been a worryingly convincing first half.
They really don’t like playing Spurs Frank has already instilled some order and discipline to Spurs which was clearly an issue under Ange. I thought Palhinha was a great (loan) signing - the tackle king.
He really troubled him when Ait-Nouri was giving him options. Ake's obviously less comfortable in that position, especially in Guardiola's system.
Fantastic 1st half from Spurs. We just look a different team to the one that was served up by Ange last season. We look so well drilled and organised tactically aware, strong in the tackle and we press superbly Richy and Kudus are like two juggernauts up front. Sarr again in this hybrid 8/10 impressing this boy with the right coaching could be special. City are going to come for us in the 2nd half just worry if we concede it will be PSG all over again. We do remain a threat on the break though .
To be fair it is a different team to that available to Ange. Five players injured most of the year and 2 new signings.
amazing what a bit of coaching and tactical awareness can do to a team full of potential… it’s almost as if Ange wasn’t very good. But let’s not go there! I just sincerely hope we build on the foundations we have here. 2 or 3 players to the mix who can genuinely compete for first XI places, and we’ll give anyone a game this season.
City coming out late for the second half, again. They've been fined for it for the last two seasons. That's obviously doing nothing.
