I don't think I will be able to get tickets, any suggestions for a not too massive saints pub in or near the city centre? Ta
London Road Brew House is probably your best bet, loads of seating, loads of screens and good food. Depends on what you call 'massive' though. If you want something a bit smaller then the Cricketers in Bedford Place
Skates been given 2700 tickets so hopefully that means there's some truth in the mutual agreement on allocation. £22 for the coach they're being charged. What a rip off that is.
Is it true they can only travel officially via the coach? I'm thinking of getting the train from Bompey for the game and don't really want to see any skates at the station
Yeah both games will be bubble trips. Pretty sure there's no trains into Southampton central that day due to engineering works though.
£40 match tickets as well. I know it's the skates, but that's awful from our club. We're quick enough to whinge about the likes of Leeds and Ipswich doing it to us. And at the end of the day, it'll only cost our fans more when we go down there and the price is reciprocated.
Said it when we announced the prices that I thjnk they're a disgrace. Cheapest adult ticket outside of family zone of £40 and most expensive £65 is piss poor for second tier football. Some of them will actually pay less than home fans too as some of the away end comes under flank but they're all paying the corner price as far as I can tell. It'll only be reciprocated down there if they'll charge their own fans that too which I doubt. Looking at their website they don't seem to bother with categories and price all games the same so looks like we'll pay £33. What I think is a piss take about the coach prices is that it's the ONLY way to travel so they can basically charge what they want. What's to stop them charging £40-50 even?
Ticket prices probably part of the reason we've not sold out yet too. Generally speaking the people willing to drop £55 on a match ticket aren't going to people who want to sit next to away fans. Especially when it's them lot.
Skates apparently offered a reciprocal price for away fans for the Derbies which we turned down. Bit hypocritical given Parsons was moaning about Leeds and Ipswich not doing so at the fans forum.
3 weeks to go. Nerves definitely starting to kick in. This is going to be the longest international break in history.
I’d say they are looking like having the benefit of a settled side and manager too. Good draw away to West Brom yesterday. I was hoping someone higher up the Championship would come in for Murphy.
I'm a Saints fan, I can live with disappointment. But a disappointing atmosphere is my biggest fear with this one. Win, lose or draw, let's make some ****ing noise, and on no account be drowned out by our fishy visitors...
I massively fear this will be the worst atmosphere for a derby at St Mary's. Never been impressed with their support here and that's largely been due to it being easy to drown them out with singers either side but we don't have that anymore.
