Wonder if this is true and if so will the 49ers spend it now or save it to January? I dont think we can wait to Xmas as we need goals now. Plus if this is true doesnt it include still having players we need gone in the calculation? Leeds have £58m remaining in transfer budget
I might be wrong but did you see Bournemouth against Liverpool? Look well coached, strong side. Usually pretty good at home too so expecting a Bournemouth win. Kinda want a Bournemouth win as don’t think they’re weak enough to go down but I do think wolves look weak enough.
my view exactly… on the one hand it would be good to see everyone struggle - but realistically we need a few teams to go into freefall. Like most I earmarked Brentford, wolves, West Ham as most likely candidates. I want to see them all get spanked every week. I’m mixed on Burnley Sunderland. I’d quite like Sunderland to stay up and I hate Burnley. But at this stage of the season, I don’t want to see either of them doing better than expected
The Leeds Press are doing some heavy lifting this morning with a headline saying “ Deal Agreed for Brighton Star”. The piece then starts with these 3 players could be at Leeds next week. COULD! Mind you all three would be great additions in my view. James Hill from Bournemouth as the missing defender we need. Fa undo Buonnanota from Brighton as the ten we need and Emerdin Demirovic is a top number nine with 17 goals in Germany last season. So yes please all three, however unlikely that may be
I didn't see it but realistically, if we can have two established teams below us then that's promising, any more a bonus, still very early but from a Leeds fan point of view, you would expect Burnley to be bottom, you would hope we finish above Sunderland, so Everton, West Ham and Wolves below us would be job done. Surviving is the number one aim, after that it is pushing on so that we are not in a dog fight the entire season. If we could possibly finish 3 places above the bottom three then you would hope transfers next season become easier
The thing about Bournemouth is that the new Yank owner came in and immediatley knew what the club needed. They had come through the period of Peter Storey who grew the club from bits and pieces, built a new stadium and watched young Eddie Howe take them into the premier league. After a while though it was impossible to keep them there due to lack of funds so they were relegated and Howe left. New guy flys Bielsa into London and after a couple of hours meeting Marcelo says no but here’s a guy who can do what you want. Andoni Iraola was given the job and he managed to keep them up after Scott Parker lost his job. Iraola has done well last season and even though they made a shed load of profits on player sales whe still has a team doing well. Iraola proves the point that you dont need a load of world superstars if you can coach and improve players
I'd forget Hill and Justin and go for a young upcoming option. Unfortunately Chelsea have signed them all. Rodrigo Pinheiro, a 6 ft plus right back who can play left back is only 22 and has played a season in the top tier in Portugal. That would be a decent replacement for Schmidt.
I don't see Bournemouth struggling, yes they've sold a lot of players but they've bought to replace each one, they have a very good coach, one Orta wanted but turned us down as the time wasn't right for him apparently , so let's hope they win and keep Wolves firmly in the bottom 3
Turned us down as he wanted to see out his contract and do the right thing by the club and fans as they were on course for highest position in clubs history. Orta even suggested buying out his contract
