Not seen a recent thread on this but its getting more juicy over the past couple of days that left back Taye Taiwo will be coming to us on loan in January for the rest of the season.

Looks alright to me. A wicked strike on him, especially from free kicks. Unsure about him defensively like.

He's a good player, I just wonder if the speculation is genuine. He's played poorly this season but that's just form IMO, and he hasnt had a real shot at Milan. If we do get him it would have to be a permanent deal though (or a loan with intent to buy like Ben Arfa's).

There's been several links with us if you search him you'll probably find a few. Quoted as saying he wants to leave in January.

I'd definitely take him. As Smudger said, he's a class player who's just out of form. He's had, what, 4 or so appearances? Loan with intent to buy would be fantastic.

2 appearances, they're just playing Zambrotta (34 years old?).

    Taiwo quotes:

"Everyday I suffer more and more because I'm not playing. I came here to play, but I have only played 6 games for Milan (think that may even be including friendlies). I don't know how it works in Italy, and sometimes I even have to sit in the stands. I have the need to play. Allegri (manager) doesn't give me any trust. Otherwise he would let me play, but I don't have any problems with him or anyone else. Allegri makes his choices and then he also speaks Italian very fast, and I don't understand anything. Staying in such a situation isn't my thing, even though I'm playing for Milan."

A loan deal would be perfect. I'm surprised he's not played much for AC Milan when the have Antonini playing ahead of him.

This would be a quality signing! We have a knack of getting very, very good players on the cheap! HBA, Santon, Tiote, Cabaye, Ba and now maybe Taiwo. Bloody hell things could be looking up...... Although I am always aware of what can happen.

Better bet than Cissokho with his weird back issue thing and Pieters has some question marks as well. Pieters can play CB though, I think he is our priority target.

Here's a man that I buy on FM and has had hints of gossip over past few weeks, Jan Vertonghen Ajax CB. Can play left back.

    He's quality on FM.... :D

My reservations about Pieters are that he's been out with a broken foot, want to sign someone who can go straight in to the team.

Sorry to lower the level to that of a "tash" response but I would jizz if this happened!

Vertonghen is being watched by Citeh. Taiwo seems possible though... Maiga is practically done, good forward but at this rate we'll struggle to put teams out during African nations.
