All about perspectives. Thought the game was good if you were neutral, but that was the sloppiest I've seen England play for a while (albeit haven't seen all the games). Australia haven't beaten a top tier team apart from Wales for a couple of years now. Shame they broke their run against the England.
Can hardly call Wales a top tier team at the moment either. Entertaining game but England just seam to be finding all manner of ways to lose close games at the moment
If I were an England fan I'd be VERY worried, that Aussie side absolutely stank the championship out, whilst Sua'alli will have no doubt made a difference and deservedly took MOM, should really be putting them away at home
I was looking it at the perspective of a good day out mainly. The changing fortunes made for a good atmosphere. Maybe a better, tighter, England performance might have brought about a win in a less entertaining game. Would rather City win in a boring 1-0 game than lose or draw in a high scoring one but that is different.
Yeh totally, wasn't a criticism. It gets a lot of criticism these days, but I enjoyed the Woodward era the most - defensive, ugly, shutting down games to grind out wins - I enjoy seeing the opposition frustrated, so I meant others have the perspective that more open, tries both ends rugby is better. Similarities with City now - team in a slump and bad run of form, with not too many positives to take. Not sure Borthwick is the man to continue as doesn't have the team performing well and doesn't seem to a fan/supporter as having any new ideas. Sometimes an early cut is the best thing.
100% Of course I’m an England supporter, and wanted us to win…but it’s not like watching City where you actually care enough to be annoyed or elated at the result. It was a fantastic day out and I’d recommend it for anyone if you haven’t need before. Few too many wax jackets and farmers corduroys for my taste, but other than that it’s a very friendly VERY HEAVY DRINKING! crowd. Taking of which, and I’ve said this before, anyone wanting to run food and drinks concessions at sports grounds should go and study Twickenham. It’s a well oiled machine leading to very well oiled punters! Small selection of drinks (Guinness, cider lager wine or canned G&T) Efficient staff Girls (not being sexist, they just were) walking round with 8 Guinness in carriers and a card machine so you could just buy a few as they passed, pre poured Guinness behind bars so only a quick top up needed. Even at half time only a minute queue. Even the trains are plentiful and efficient. Cracking day out
Such a bizarre choice to go for 3 rather than the corner with 5 mins left when 4 points down. We never looked like scoring points in that 2nd half. Bad loss that.
Ladies World Cup time. England 7-0 up against ‘Murica Destroying them in the scrum but decent game otherwise
Ok, right thread now. Cracking half, Eng 28-7 up, it's a seriously good watch. That Ellie Kildunne is seriously quick.
