A sizeable (but not huge) Spirit win would be a welcome outcome here. Looks like Essex are on course for another monster win of their own.
That's an awful finish from Spirit. They were easily on course for 150 or more, but only one boundary in their final 33 balls! Yet again they've wasted JOverton.
No idea why win predictor only gave Oval a 5% chance a few mins ago. Huge amount of power and only two down.
Willey and Cook are decent new ball bowlers (very decent in Willey's case). But they're both awful after the new ball. It was brave from Oval to let the required rate get so high, but with wickets in hand, this is what can happen if you take advantage.
If Oval can do that again on Saturday, against the Superchargers, we might yet finish 2nd let alone 3rd. (But I'll happily take 3rd.) But very difficult to see anyone stopping Oval from winning the comp again.
If Glamorgan can defend 297 against Worcs that would be very useful for us! Would probably be happy with Gloucs beating Notts as well, although that would likely take top spot away from us.
It's a tough one with Gloucs. If we didn't still have them to play, I'd definitely be rooting for them to beat Notts for us. But because we go to Bristol in our final match, two wins could win us the group if Gloucs lose today. Equally though, it creates danger that we might miss out of the top three altogether.
