He looked so awkward doing it. I ain’t a big fan of a gaffer doing it but if you’re gonna, have some conviction. I’ll never forget big Sam after Everton. He owned that ****
The only thing I’m aware of was Jewison B who badmouthed the club a little bit when he left. Which is a shame because I thought he came across as a decent lad.
Xhaka: I've played in many stadiums during my career, but honestly, the atmosphere at my first home game with Sunderland was one of the best I've ever experienced. The euphoria among the fans and the whole club was huge. It gave me goosebumps, it was just absolutely amazing. Xhaka: I was gripped by the atmosphere. For me it was one of the top three moments of my career, everything was buzzing. Granit Xhaka gave a lengthy interview in his homeland, discussing his move to Sunderland, a new style of play and his thoughts about Kyril Louis Dreyfus and Regis Le Bris. #SAFC https://www.blick.ch/sport/fussball...us-leverkusen-und-seine-rolle-id21158657.html
Tried to read the whole interview but it’s in German. I can order a pint or say no in German. That’s it. Finding it in snippets… In an interview with Blick, Xhaka said: “For me, he’s a Monsieur a la Arsene Wenger. A very calm personality, a relaxed, very matter-of-fact person. “What he says makes sense. Regis is a remarkably thoughtful coach. The way he managed the many personnel changes in such a short time: hats off to him! Of course, Wenger had a remarkably successful time in the Premier League, winning the title four times with Arsenal, and the FA Cup seven times. Granit just gets it. Loads of us spoke of how we felt the Coventry home game atmosphere brought us back to life, backed by Wembley. We said and hoped we’d carry it into this season. Well, we did, and for Granit to say ‘too 3 atmospheres I’ve ever played in’ and ‘they just live and breathe the club’ it’s beautiful words and it’s a credit to what the club is doing, and to us for going in the ride. The unity between club and fans I haven’t seen since the first Keane year.
Yeah I reckon holidays too. Seat next to me was empty. The pic in question are the seats at the front of the upper away section. My guess is it’s to stop the ****wits from throwing stuff at us in the lower tier. All of the seats in front of the divider were empty
Aye shame we have to do that. Ironic the Mags never really chucked stuff over (although Boro did, little man syndrome v the other 2 North East clubs)
It seems to be the thing they all do now, wander onto the pitch, shake a few hands, sometimes looking as if they don't know what to do next. I do prefer the old way of shaking hands and getting off down the tunnel, but most have bought into this new "necessity".
Graham Potter: A home atmosphere can make a big difference, and I have to say that the atmosphere at Sunderland was one of the best I've experienced in the Premier League. You want the environment to be like that, as a home team. #SAFC Let's hope we can keep this going all season. It hasnt been the best of atmospheres the past few years.
