    German media reporting that Scienza is open to offers, and hasn't closed the door on any, but FC Köln have stepped up their interest in him. He scored a couple in the cup last week, so is in good form.

    I assume it’s because he currently has a transfermarkt valuation of €2m. That site isn’t necessarily based on anything solid but it’s rare that players move for high multiples of the values on there. Especially not 7x the valuation

    3 or 4 happens when they are young, long contract, high potential and the club doesn’t want sell. I know at least the first two apply to McAteer

    Yes fine, just don’t think many fans are immediately running to TransferMarkt to see valuation of a player to form their opinion of a transfer.

    Looking at some of the Leicester fans comments sounds like he’s an academy player who loves the club and tries hard but can’t actually play football. £12m for a player at this level is a lot of money, so Ipswich clearly see something in him, time will tell if Leicester fans are right.

    TransferMarkt has Mateus Fernandes valued at 15m. So I think we can all agree that it is not exactly a useful tool in gauging the worth of a player.
