You're literally that guy at 4am trying to crack jokes in a room full of people coming down of E. You find a way to make the situation worse.
Agree with the 1) Wissa, 2) Jackson order … but the pricing acceptability and the manager’s wishes are unknowns for us lot - things happen behind close doors at St James’ it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out over the next weeks, and we could always be massively surprised tomorrow by a Friday announcement of someone left field that none of us thought of… exciting! and **** you, Isak.
If it's one of the mentioned names, then It'll likely be Jackson only - transfer listed and Chelsea eager to sell. Correct age + PL experienced. Fast and decent at pressing. Isak to then stay as no second striker signed.
Like Welshie said, it's using the limited funds we do have available in a less effective way. Nothing against them as players, but in terms of value for money, we will be totally shafted if we sign those two for a combined £100m+. Especially with various other deals for strikers around the £30m-£40m mark.
As I've said before, we should invest £20m - £30 on seriously enhancing our scouting network. Financially that reaps way more rewards in the long term that buying Larson for £60m (plus his wages).
Sadly, I feel that Arsenal with Eze, Gyokeres and Madueke added to their attack might just be a genuine contender this year. I really despise Arteta, but they have had a tremendous transfer window.
Would much prefer Arsenal to win the PL than the Victims. If necessary I would sell Isak to Arsenal if it meant he didn’t go to the Victims. I know it won’t happen because of Gyokeres but I can but hope.
Link not working (cos I actually tried it thinking I’d see kittens on worktops or a recipe for rum cocktails ) I googled Richarlison/NUFC - thankfully nothing
