That’s negative coming from you. I assume with these people you still believe we will win the premier league.

    So what’s the problem?

Not under Eddie. He wants proven premier league players.

For Larsen I didn't think we'd be looking at more than Woltemade would cost, double the price of Kalimuendo, etc.! In terms of high ceiling, just he could get better at 25 than Watkins (29) and Wissa (29) will.

Radical idea guys but why doesnt PIF use the multi club model and perhaps they buy Wissaand then loan him and say Toney to NUFC.

Wow. If only you had mentioned it sooner and then repeated it 5 or 6 times a day.

This isn't Football Manager. Not everything is straightforward. You only think other teams do transfer business smoothly because you don't monitor them.
Arsenal aren't just suddenly buying Eze because someone thought about it on Monday. They will have a thick file on him and have been watching him for months and months.
We have, until now, had such a good team spirit because of very careful research which all takes time.
We are trying to compete with the Greedy Six
It hasn't worked this time but at least we are in there pitching. At the moment we are going to struggle especially with foreign players but its just the start. Our time will come.

I’ve decided to sit down because I am feeling a bit weird. But I actually agree 100%.

Getting the club from relegation to top six was possible because we could attract better players and our recruitment was almost spot on.

But the next level and steps to get there are massive with the restrictions in place and the advantage the dirty half dozen have.

We just have to trust in the process and enjoy the ride. We will get there In the end and anyways we want a team that tries. We did that and won a cup last season.

Im happy with the transfer window. I believe we will get a striker because we simply have to.

Bit disingenuous that Roly. The fee for Larsen of £25.5million was set in July 2024 when he signed on loan for Wolves. This was a £2.5million loan fee and option to buy for £23.5million at the end of the loan. Wolves obviously snapped him up at the end of the loan period, after a prettty good season in the PL.

I actually think he would be a good buy for us. He scored 14 goals in his first season and has a great work rate.

I think Strand Larsen would be our next Dahl-Tomassen, and Woltemade would be our next Christian Something-or-other (French striker, did **** all after a World Cup frenzy)…. I don’t like either of them. And one look at the Predictions League shows I know my onions.

I’m fast coming round to taking a punt on Jackson… and I’d see that as a risk, but he has youth, power and pace; for the sums of money being talked about for Wissa and Strand-Larsen, I’d prefer Jackson.

Is the Porto lad (Samu) out of the picture now?
