The beach in Guardamar del Segura is currently flying red flags to stop swimmers going into the sea because of this beautiful creature. Two specimens of Glaucus Atlanticus, more commonly known as “blue dragon”, have been found and they have a very toxic sting, as a result of their feeding habits. Apparently they feed on Portuguese man o’ war jellyfish and store the toxin and their sting can cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness and severe pain and those with underlying health conditions could be particularly at risk.
San Tejón I am glad you are finding Seek useful. My wife and I fund it addictive I have never heard of Blue Angel before but it looks incredible. It looks like it is made of China. Looking it up on line I see it is a type of Sea Slug which are molluscs. Thanks for posting. Cheers Ian
