I said they'd come for him as soon as I saw Madison was out for the season. Looks like he wasn't their first choice but I can see it happening as they'll have the money.
He'll be competing for a place with the likes of Kudus and Tel. Can't see how that would be good for him. He'll hardly ever start any games.
Dom Shaw, Middlesbrough correspondent for the Northern Echo: "Southampton have bid - suggestions are that what they have bid won't get a deal done. Indications are if Southampton were to reach around the £12m mark, there's a chance that would do a deal. It could progress quite quickly." Edit: Oops, moving to the FA thread
Was waiting for RB links as soon as I saw we had no number 2 this season. Definitely needed as Sugawara is crap.
Kabore was reasonably good at Luton 2 seasons ago; he went a bit under the radar as Alfie Doughty at LWB outshone him but Kabore was pretty good too
Yeah, the Luton forums and posts about him at the time are more positive than negative. Some of them say he can be infuriating because he's a bit up and down with consistency and has a tendency to try and do everything at 100mph in some games, but overall they liked him. High work rate, good dribbler, very quick and likes to cross
Also worth noting that was 2 years ago so maybe his consistency has improved, and he’ll be playing in the Champ, not the PL.
WS on the pace of progress in the transfer window... I feel as if we've had the same conversation since the start of pre-season. It is what it is, the market is what it is. There's stuff being worked on and there is stuff moving but it's just taking longer than most of us hoped and longer than Johannes hoped as well. The situation is what it is, we're waiting and hoping to unlock things and make things happen but it is a bit of a fight at times, yes.
