I'm going for a 0-1 away win, think itll be a tougher game than some think just for the fact of their style of play being hard to beat
I'm going for a 2-1 win. I think he may go with the same starting 11 if Seelt is fit because RLB had said Alderete was a bit short of fitness last week, so he may decide to give him another week seeing how he doesn't like to rush people back. However, Alderete looked class so wouldn't be surprised to see him start.
Cheers RTB. All about mentality this one for me. I actually think this will be a bigger test than West Ham, with it being their first home game, and now a little more expectation on us to get a result. Momentum will be hard to have through this season, and now we have some, lets make the most of it. Alderete for Seelt my only change. We have to keep this tight, give nothing away and I have confidence the quality in the team will get their moments and then its a case of taking them. Keep a clean sheet and we will win imo. Haway the lads!
Cracking thread again @RTB, really enjoy them. Alderete in for Seelt would be my only change, stay compact and focussed and we will have too much for these. 0-2 to the lads. Talbi and Mayenda.
Keep it tight early and as you's say, hit them on the counter. We have phenomenal pace. If things go to plan, Mayenda will score again. Bit worried though by the thought of Burnley possibly changing things for this one? 5 at the back at home against us might not be smart with our midfield. Anyway, i see this game as a huge hint on our season. Many a time we have beaten a team cleanly we werent expecting then getting exposed by a weaker side. Hoping this is a routine performance and we show our clear quality. Not winning tomorrow could be a missed opportunity! Haway the Lads! 1-4 Xhaka, Mayenda brace and a Dubravka OG.
Tough one this they will be bang up for it after last week, as will we, we do okay against these and think we are better than them however I’d be okay with a point to be honest we can absolutely go there and win though
That's a given, even for the top teams who'll lose games this season ... ... hopefully their fans will be posting 'This game will be tougher than people think.' However, surely we can allow ourselves to believe we can beat the team most likely to finish bottom. It's not as if they really gave us big problems last season and we've improved much more than them. I keep seeing people saying Burnley gave a good account of themselves, at Spurs, but I've watched that game and read the report in the Times, etc, none of which gives Burnley much more than a 'plucky performance'. They didn't actually trouble the keeper once, apart from a few scrambles, and were lucky to only lose 3-0. Perhaps people are looking at the quality of Richarlison's second and believing Burnley were only 'beaten' by a wonder goal. In my opinion Spurs barely broke sweat and won easily once Burnley tired. I'm not getting carried away because we won 3-0 but I'm certainly not thinking we have anything to be scared of ... ... we have better players so it's reasonable to think we can win again.
We didn't concede against them in the league last year and I see that continuing this time around. If we can break them down, we'll win. Antony caused a few problems early doors, but faded as the game wore on. I don't see him getting the same free rein up against Reinildo. If Aldarete is fit, I'd start him, but RLB knows best. I've gone for a draw on my predictions because I think it'll be a battle with very few chances. The good thing is that we have the personnel to create and take our chances. We had 2 chances from the spot at their place. I'd settle for having a 3rd chance to take the 3 points.
My mate said they grafter hard but need to strengthen because they are short of quality. He also said it’s a good time for us to play them because we strengthened early and they’re not there yet. It’s a winnable game with the challenge of us scoring against a tight unit.
Unusually for me I've predicted a 2 0 win for us. Imo Burnley are going to find it hard to score this season and we will be confident after last week's victory. It's miles too early to get carried away though
We have to believe we can beat teams like Burnley or we're down … .. thinking we have a better team doesn’t make you arrogant, just confident. The players obviously are so why not us.
