Look, I realise there are som fans and some on here who don't like or rate Farke and likely waiting for the I told you so moment. They will get that chance, maybe even as soon as next Saturday evening. The fact he assembled a lot of last seasons squad obviously means little
I think Farke and Bielsa both did great jobs... Farke's legacy may rest on this year, but it doesn't need to be a competition. It's ok to like both!
There was something last season - I'm wracking my brains exactly what - that was about what was Farkes problem with Ramazini.
Got it - it was after the away draw with Luton and Farke brought on Schmidt instead of Largie - "We wanted a player on the pitch that was more reliable in the duels. Not happy with maturity in duels from Largie in recent games. He needs to step up. I like what I have seen from Isaac in training and the cup.”
No I don't mind him, I hope he succeeds, I believe he has proved himself at Championship level to a degree and if he was a scout or in charge of transfers that would be a different argument. If it wasn't for Bielsa we would never have had Farke and we wouldn't have had a team of the quality Farke inherited
Farke is one of the all time great Championship managers, no question and he deserves that accolade with 3 titles and promotions to the premier league. As Ristac said he failed in season 1 and actually came 4th. He pulled it off last season and he managed to pull it back together post Xmas when it looked like wheels were coming off again. He changed tactics slightly and did what everyone said he should do and dropped Meslier. I applaud him for that. He failed badly twice in the premier league and many say all because he wasn’t backed. I accept that but he is being backed now so hopefully he can do what we all want him to do and keep us in the prem. no point having a go if we get thrashed at the weekend as Eire always says judge things after 10 games. So he gets all of my support until it’s obvious that he has cracked it or he hasn’t. On a lighter note this must be the best headline since he ate my hamster. Heard a story on this a month ago but wonder if true? Both Aaronson brothers need to play regular to get into Pochetino’s World Cup squad. https://x.com/Plettigoal/status/1958186429105709486
I think he questioned him not warming up properly and not putting the yards in when brought on in previous games. Non-negotiables he calls it. And he’s right. Fans should back the manager when he sees this rather than whinge about lack of playing time for big time charlies. Farke had a big pop at him after the Swansea game at home. He dicked about on the ball in the wrong area of the pitch and lost possession when we were 2-1 up against Swansea late on when we needed to close out a tight game. Tanaka got booked, covering for him. Few minutes later Swansea equalised … in injury time. Several people at fault for that goal - one was a weak tackle from tanaka that Farke felt was a result of him being on a yellow. Bit tenuous but that’s the level of detail, coaches look at… and players need to understand the real and potential repercussions of what they do. Lack of professionalism is the reason he was/is out of favour.

This. When I’ve watched Ramazani it looks like he had some potential going forward but doesn’t do the hard yards at the back and it’s not something we can afford the luxury of in the PL as we’ll get punished. When this new lad signs I 100% see him going on loan.
