The magical thing about Suarez was not just how good he was- but how good he made everyone else look too. Sterling, Sturridge, etc- everyone looked world class alongside Suarez but as soon as Suarez left, their ability dropped a level or two. Suarez knew when to be selfish, but unlike Salah, he had a keen eye for when to let his teammates play and take control instead- and he passed unselfishly to them when they had a better chance and was in general more aware of where everyone was. Salah is absolutely world class, and he does create as well as score- but he tends to be a little more selfish than Suarez was and doesn't bring out the best in other people like Suarez did.
he’s the best player that I’ve seen play for us since Kenny et al. Arguably the best ever. Complete awareness, hard work, technical ability, aggression (sometimes too much), absolute will to win….
The irony of Newcastle bidding for a player who is on strike and bidding under his valuation given what they are crying about is incredible… I do wonder when all the articles about Wissa being out of order and how terrible Newcatle have been in unsettling him then bidding ridiculously low to try and destabalise him are going to come out
He missed 5 games that season and scored 31 goals. Sensational season yes but I still prefer salah coming in as you get everything. You get dedication, you get speed, you get dribbling , you get masses of goals. This would be like debating Messi v Ronaldo. Messi had the inspiration, that more special something but Ronaldo was technically perfect and also scored bags of goals. Suarez scored lots for barca and never bit anyone cos he reached where he wanted to be. The new suarez would only ever be a in and out player for us. Salah was faster, scored more goals, makes more assists and gives you plenty of amazing moment. Oh and salah isn't a racist
They'd be fools to keep him now. two things are going to happen. 1) he doesn't play for them ever again and his value plummets, where they'd be lucky to make any profit on him. 2) he does come back to play for them and is just **** and his value plummets. What are they expecting to happen if he does play for them again, he's not going to be putting 100% in, any minor injury he's not going to risk (especially in a World Cup), are they going to trust him in the big games and so on and so on. They should take the offer and take the profit while they can.
He can Deffo play a role this season imho, I can actually see him scoring a few winners late on for us when Gakpo comes off for the last 10/20mins. Thats kinda why I'm not too keen on isak now
This ^^^^ Salah is the better objectively if only for his longevity but Suarez just took your breath away with his control and scored from anywhere and everywhere .
maybe but look at Diaz contribution to last season and no way is Rio going to replicate that or anything near imo.
Alexander Isak could leave Newcastle for Liverpool due to 'little-known transfer rule' Alexander Isak could leave Newcastle for Liverpool due to 'little-known transfer rule' - Daily Star
Rodrygo's agent in London on behalf of his client to speak to Arsenal and Liverpool representatives to see what options they are prepared to offer. It's believed the agent requested the meetings not the clubs.
So likely sales being reported Koumas. Pure profit. A number of clubs queuing up but none stupid enough to pay Bobby Clark money. 5 to 7 mil. Absolutely massive bonus here as I like him but he's never going to make it in the prem. Gordon. May have paid up to 1mil for him. Certainly didn't trigger any other clauses. Will be lucky to see 2 or 3mil. If we wash our face on it we will do well. McConnell. I dont think we paid a fee for him. He came after a trial from Sunderland. 2 or 3 mil type of fee if he goes.
"Little known"? FFS, Dribs, seriously? I'm gutted that half this forum never reads my posts - and the other half ignores them when they do.
I think his problem is the wage demands. He reportedly wants 350k, which is his rumored wage at Real. Nobody is paying him that. Get the feeling he'd be happy to stay at Real, even if the club dont want him.
Was just adding that. He seems to be the opposite to Isak. Wants to stay at his club, so is making a transfer hard despite the club wanting to sell.
