yeh I don't think it changes my point. There's no way we make this signing in the championship. for a start its over £10m. It's an investment. If it happens its a punt on a squad player with potential rather than an expectation for now, I think.
Daghim is the type of signing smart clubs make. Atalanta wanted him who are known for incredible recruitment. Get him in to replace whatever minutes Roberts would get and let him grow. Talbi and Adingra are more than good enough to be starters week in and week out, another on their level would be nice but not a necessity IMO. Daghim offers you the physical traits RLB likes, versatility and elite potential.
Eyeing a move is just interest at this stage, see how it develops. Agree, see the club getting a more ‘established’ winger in
I'd want him and 1 other tbh, then sell Roberts as just dont think he's suited to how we are going to play. Feel we still need another x factor player for now
Profile is super important. Can't have 4 starters for 2 positions. Just breeds dissatisfaction. We're better off having a couple of players who have elite talent but perhaps not yet the profile to justify starter minutes. It's perhaps easier to get away with in wide areas - we've already got a little bit of a sticky situation in central midfield IMO - but it's much better squad building if everyone is clear and comfortable with their role.
We go to Chelsea and Utd and play a potential relegation rival at home it confuses me how none have been moved
Fair, just think that he will be in the first team squad quickly, and will put Adingra and Talbi in particular under pressure quickly whereas I don't really see Roberts doing that at this stage.
I'll admit its crap for those who don't have ways and means of watching the 3pm away kickoffs but I love 3pm home kickoffs so I'm quite happy with Sky not interrupting our fun too much. Very weird though after seasons of them rescheduling every match in existence.
yeh it's great for most of you. I was hoping to get up to lots of games but I'm having surgery next month which will put a stop to that.
