I did quite like him at first but it became apparent last season when things weren't going well he was being a massive ****, having his own agenda which wasn't in the club's best interests. And funnily enough, Rangers fans are saying exactly the same. It's always got to be the Russell Martin show with him. I actually prefer Nathan Jones to him.
Peas in a pod. It's all about them. That's why I really like Still from what we've seen. He doesn't want it to be about him at all, he just wants to go and do football stuff.
Well Ralph inherited a Premier League squad. And he did make it all about him (just not as openly as Russ did).
I don't disagree with any of that, or any of the criticism of Martin for that matter, but I can't remember an ex-manager getting so much stick nearly 9 months after he left (with the possible exception of twitchy and Branfoot!). For me, Juric was even worse and actually managed to make us worse but we've mostly forgotten about him (or at least we don't talk about him nearly as much). Don't get me wrong, I'm not sticking up for Martin at all but, like I said in my original post, I find it amusing that we are spending a lot of time still talking about him. Just an observation though. EDIT: He's not our problem anymore - we've moved on.
The thing about Juric is that he hasn't said his way is the only way to play football, blame the fans etc. TBF, I give Nathan ****er Jones as much stick
Again, don't disagree with any of that but we are still talking about a ex-manager that left 9 months ago on a thread that was created nearly 2 years ago (some of us are even stalking Rangers forums )
It's all about the results in the end, if it goes tits up for WS, fans will find some way to make it personal and hate on him. I don't really care what managers say in pressers unless they are complete twats like Nathan Jones or Redkrapp. Martin is a decent bloke outside of the game from what i've seen.
Random one. Atalanta have a defensive midfielder called Ibrahim Sulemana as well as now having Kamaldeen. Bit of a mare if you’re listening on the radio, I’d imagine.
