I've said before, he's a "project type" manager who generally leaves before finishing the project. He was a mid table manager at MK Dons (13th in league one) who some how got the Swansea job, but was no more than mid table with them (15th and 10th), before some how getting the Southampton job. He's done nothing to get these regular step ups in jobs and has now landed at Rangers. Having teams regularly knocking on the door for promotion or cup runs, I could understand it there, but he's basically a mid table manager too inflexible and dogmatic to try to vary how his team's play and as a result has achieved nothing. Even the promotion with Southampton is flawed as they had a much been team than others that season and should have gone up automatically, but he only just got them promoted via the play offs.
Reminds me of a certain Swansea manager that come to the stadium of light, got beat 2-0. Then proceeded to tell the media what a pleasure it must have been for Sunderland fans to watch his team play football. Haha something like that anyway.
I think Brucey will be retiring again soon. Had a cracking start there last season, then a downward slip, which is continuing. He'll be dusting himself down again before long.
He'll get another chance when he gets sacked at Rangers. Fail again, then get a gig on telly explaining what all the successful managers are getting wrong.
