As soon as the puns started he decided the deal was dead. The thought of that sort of thing going on for the next couple of years was too much to bear.
This is dragging on too long. Any chance we can ask Trump to get Spors and their club rep together in Geneva to agree a deal?
Nithings Dragging , because nothings going to happen . Except this thread will fade into distant memory with nobody signed .
“At the moment, the situation with Eduard Spersyan remains uncertain. He has an offer from #SaintsFC, where the salary is about €1.9m, Karp wrote about it. Krasnodar is ready to offer much more. According to the media, Edo's current salary is about €2m. The financial side is a secondary issue. For Krasnodar the priority remains the sale of Spertsyan to the top league of Europe, and not to the Championship. There is interest from the clubs from "Lanza (?)" and "Porto". For three months of summer there were three options from the top clubs, but no club took serious steps, only on the short list. In June, "Porto" suspended negotiations until the end of the club world championship, and now there is contact, but without specifics. At the moment, neither the club nor Edo himself has made a final decision on the transfer. Now the transition is not close yet, but it is important that there is no solution. The club is not burning with the desire to let Edo go, there is a discussion of the parties. By the end of the next round, maybe it will decide.” I have no idea how accurate this is, if it’s from someone ITK or not. But at least it’s not more puns.
I might manage them on FM and fine Spertsyan consistently for no reason, whilst bankrupting them. That'll learn 'em.
Yeah I thought that, but I know they report salary as gross in Europe and net in the UK, so whether he’s doing that here (eg gross for his current salary and net for his potential Saints salary) but seems unlikely
Anyway it’s sounding like they are just stringing us along to see what other clubs might become interested. Up to us if we want to wait, or sign someone else and then maybe get him as well if nothing else materialises by the end of the window for him.
Only way it might happen is if he has a massive wage rise clause if we got promoted. That could happen but still seems unlikely.
That translation is really weird. Why would it matter to Krasnodar what division the club they sold him to was in? And why would they offer him more money to keep him instead of selling to a championship club but be happy to sell him to a club from a top division in another country ? It doesn’t make a lot of sense As to the wages - they’d surely nearly double on promotion. Or rather that could be offered. In the same way they are cut to 60% on relegation I still think we should give up as this seems rather ridiculous. Unless the player does really want to come here and his agent has suggested that and it’s just the club being awkward
Not a good look for them to be selling a star player to a smaller league, I can see why, all things being equal, they’d only want to sell to a top league
The Championship is ranked as a higher league than the Russian league, isn’t it? A quick Google tells me the Championship is ranked Europe’s 6th strongest league.
