Don’t think it’s a downer at all. Oxford clearly work on their set pieces a lot though huge centre backs who were winning all the flick ons. They’ll score a lot of goals from those situations, hopefully another learning curve for us to stay switched on it dangerous situations for other teams. They created absolutely **** all outside of set pieces
So do I and it was good to see him join in the celebrations of the goal. Having looked again I dont think he did it looked as though he was trying to let it run between his and thedefenders legs.
Either way he took their defender completely out of the game and allowed Giles a free run. It was a great bit of play.
Brady's bit of slowmo video shows pretty conclusively that he didn't. Shame, would have been a cracking back heel!
Only one was a set piece. To address the original comment about Hughes, we seem to be struggling to deal with crosses without Semi.
Wrexham we defended admirably for 90 minutes it was a freak incident where we got caught in 80 seconds of momentum. Sometimes crosses are just good and the finishes match
we also go caught early in the second half at Wrexham, when their lad missed an open goal with his head - the two oxford goals came from failure to clear balls in the air - it's a problem that needs sorting
I think we’ve had 2 good lessons that Serg has highlighted his disappointment with. Definitely not cause for concern yet certainly will be if we don’t learn from it
